This would probably be very difficult (and quite enjoyable for us viewers), but you should consider attempting a "Try not to laugh" with George Carlin. To make it a little easier, it could be a bit you've already reacted to. Just an idea....sure beats golf!!
Not in my backyard reminds me of the modern American liberal. Wants to help everyone but doesn't any of those people they are helping to live in their neighborhood. lol
I have a feeling George was high as a kite in this one. His timing was off, he's strangely animated and he seems OTT and even angry at parts. So weird. I've seen or heard a different version of this bit and it flows much better than this.
Someone brought up the good point that this set was super rushed because of the show he was on and that the original bit is much better. But yeah he was probably high too 😂 -Adam
@@CanadiansReact I'm sure he's rushed here more because of the time allotted to him then anything else. The bit is called "War on Homelessness" from his HBO special George Carlin: Jamming in New York' from 1992, which you may have already reacted to. This appearance was several months before that. He always honed his material on college campuses and talk shows before hand. By the time he recorded the specials the material was perfected.
*CRINGE* I've always hated when George or any comedian for that fact had to go on a talk show and try to do their chosen bits at the networks time frame, it always kills the flow of the routine. He had to do this bit like he was on coke cut with speed. Having to cut the profanity hurts it a bit too, it not only takes a bit of the emotion out of statement they usually get replaced with a lame replacement word that just seems to throw it all off. I hadn’t seen this clip before but I actually enjoyed that he brought this famous bit I have seen a bunch to Network TV and just did in front of people that wouldn’t normally hear it like he didn’t give a shit.
