Back in the days BET had this video around in Aug of 1985 still 5 and I would sit in the living room or the den to watch this in the apartment we once stayed in and George Clinton still promise us the whole funk nothin but the funk📺📼🎼🎶

If you look closely and can see: this is still relevant and maybe 100 times more so than in 1985. How many wars have there been since 85, The Prison industry is booming. Look real close and see and hear the message. Love you to life. Mama

This video quality is superb.. takes me back to 15yrs old watching Videos on cable BET Network! technology has drastically increased since 85' but this vibe George hit us with back in 85' can't be funked with!

Double Oh-Oh is so far ahead of its time----elements of Go-Go and P.Funk mixed and sounds as fresh in 2021 as it did when it came out----maybe more so.

7 years, 13k views and 37 comments? What are people watching? i typed " i want to wear the ball and chain" and spent almost 1 hour, youtube was showing me another ball and chain, something said i should include George Clinton, and thats how i found the song. My Dad had this on VHS, i watched it around 88/89. This song was telling us about the feature, but it seems the world aint listening. Thanks for the upload.

Charles...I don't want to think that no one is listening...And though you may be right, I also believe that many people also do hear, it's just that the "so-and-so's" that George sings about still have the majority believing that the "so-and-so's" are in control, that theirs is the only power. But that's not true. We, The People have always had the real power. We just need to all agree one day to do things differently. As simple as that sounds, that's all it would take to turn this mutha 'round. Thanks for your persistence in finding this visionary music video that I am very proud to have been a part of. Long live Bootsy! (And George!)

I think it was ahead of its time. Music Videos can be fun and full of ideas, and yet the vast majority are vapid ego-fests. G. Clinton and Director Wayne Isham knew what they were doing here.

George Clinton a musical Genius. He used his name when he sued Warner Bros over his Electric spanking album. Double uh oh 😳 Funkateer all Day. P Funk Un cut funk the Bomb.

George always avoids titles but he is clearly preaching here. He talks about the cost of having a righteous cause which deals more directly and effectively than just treating the effects caused by something that never gets identified but remains hidden ("when you taken every kind of pill, nothing seems to ever cure your ill") 2:23 this part to me sounds like George's real life situation or even a conversation that he and "someone's" had over his musical/lyrical direction continuing on. Just look at the part where the Agent is going through the "Top Secret" folders which revealed George as our last hope who then began mocking the Noze, and then George was hauled away Doesn't it strike any of y'all how divinely incredible PFUNK was yet it's soo "buried"? It's like "someone's" doesn't want anyone to know about it, yet I feel like the worst kinds of so-called music and art which lack any sort of cause and most of the time any moral responsibility but helps to distract/blind, numb, and sedate the masses like a "pill" were forced on me. Great video!

the videos made me like these songs cuz I didnt like this cassette tape when I bought it from Claudia's thrift mall before they went out of buisness over 2 and half years ago.

I honestly believe this "next episode" reference was simply a creative flourish to attribute a muti-part narrative aspect to this single, two-part music video. The partial title after all is "Double Uh-Oh" and we all know there have been many "episodes" of the 007 franchise.

Fair question, though I do not believe it was meant literally, I think GC was just f*ckin' wit our heads...Implying it was a franchise, like Double Oh Seven.
