As an Englishman I find, what appears to be a uniquely USA thing, ordering houses from a catalogue quite fascinating. Nearly every house or boarding school I have lived in, including my current house, has been 16th or 17th century (not necessarily grand; just very old) and these American houses made of wood don’t exist in the United Kingdom so they’re very interesting to me, and rather beautiful.
