George Floyd death: Memorial held in Floyd family hometown of Hoke County, N.C. | FULL

George Floyd was memorialized in a ceremony in Hoke County, N.C., where his family lives, on Saturday.
Floyd, an unarmed Black man, died in police custody on Memorial Day in Minneapolis, Minn. after a white police officer held his knee on Floyd’s neck.
Hundreds turned out as various people spoke during the ceremony to honour the life of Floyd.
The family was presented with a North Carolina state flag which had flown over the State Capital last week.

So very sad to see these comments....I guess America done lost her soul! Uplifting beautiful service. The black church knows how to praise God from the soul. No man should ever go through what this man did..regardless of their past. We all have disappointed God and still..treating a human in an inhumane way is not acceptable in a civilized world! Wish people did this for me too… yet, they won’t, as I didn’t take drugs and fake a check to end up dying. This is how everyone should be treated that does well in the world, yes, he is human, however let’s just be honest please. No mention of his criminal behavior and actions is insane, ESPECIALLY since my grandfather led the church and acted as such a good human and all he gets is a few tears. Don’t you dare stand behind this. -Minnesotan , MPLS.

The Bible teaches in 1Timothy that The sins of some are obvious, reaching the place of judgment ahead of them; the sins of others trail behind them. Maybe your sins are not plain to see but God knows them. Remember, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, this includes you and everyone of us. Floyd's sins did not justify him being killed like he was not a human being with someone's foot on his neck. The Bible says that on the day of judgement you will have to give account of every careless word you've uttered. Repent and be more humane.

Mr. Floyd probably didn’t know he’d purchased cigarettes with counterfeit money why would he stay parked there by the store if he was sinning. I never check my money. I recently had a thousand in twenties and never checked one of them. Whoever gave George that twenty that got him killed... I’m sure they’re having some sleepless nights but the cop that killed George was a bad cop anyway.

In all honesty.. he would have never gotten this type of funeral if he hadn't died the way he did. This is more of a show than actual mourning... it's not right how he died, but he didn't live a life worth all these honors.

@ProfessorChocolateCake, you don't understand the ways of the church or the Lord. What is said, that they are doing, is dancing like king David when he danced b4the Lord (see 2 Samuel 6:14. I don't know if these ppl are dancing b4the Lord like King David (which is acceptable 2 the Lord) cos I never saw King David dance be the Lord. I hope what they are doing is sincerely dancing/praising b4theLord 😊
