I used to live near George in East Texas. Met him a few times then 20 years later I saw him in Vegas and he told me....I dont recall your name but I remember you from Marshall Texas. George is a really nice man and a proud Texan
He's a sad excuse for a man and really really stupid. Probably punchdrunk. No, he's great. Only joking. He's so articulate and seems very bright for being a 2 time H W champ. So many fights and still so clear... 😊💪
"I was the best dishwasher." Makes you miss the era when a man could make a whole living just washing dishes or mopping floors, and take pride in his work.
Great to see Foreman still looking sharp and strong. He hardly aged at all since he won against Moorer 22 years ago and not the slightest sign of punch drunkness.
I am now 55 and can tell you, George had 2 different lives !! ...HE WAS A MEAN S.O.B the 1st time around ( He was 40-0, with 38 KO's when Ali beat him at 25, Ali was 32 ! )..*..then HE COMES BACK and WINS IT ALL AGAIN at 45 vs a tough Michael Moorer ! HE was ALWAYS TOUGH ! but he's a sweet soul of a man also, now at 69 !
The man has all the money he could ever need for his family and himself, has achieved more than most will ever come close to and he takes pride in washing dishes. This is without a doubt the most humble and sincere human being I've seen. What a great interview. Its easy to spot someone who is a liar and Mr. Foreman is as genuine as a person can get.
100% correct. Ali.and Don king walked away from millions upon millions for Ali-foreman II, to schedule an OLD white dude instead. FEAR was the deciding factor. They knew that foreman would have KILLED Ali in the immediate automatic rematch
@@baller3026 Ali and Foreman are the greatest. Ali won that fight of the century and Foreman made the greatest come back 20 years latter in strong boxing era
George Foreman a man with spiritual wisdom, knowledge & understanding. You're a champion in and out of the ring and not to mention a humble man.. God bless you.
You know I’m watching this for a second time. George Foreman is a wonderful great man. George really is a revelation. There is no one like George. Articulate and extremely intelligent. To come back after ten years out of Boxing and to change his outlook on life and to become a world champion at 45 was phenomenal. Ali was like no other boxer; have to put George in that category. Personally, George is my favourite boxer and personality. Ultimately it comes down to identifying with someone. Believe that is why George is so great, because we identify with him. George you’re the greatest.
George fought some of hardest punchers and best heavyweights in history and he took some serious blows to his head and not only is he not brain damaged, he is an entrepreneur worth 300 million and gives lectures at universities . George is a phenomenon
Goddamn I love George Foreman. The world will be a darker place when his light is extinguished. Going from that brooding, dark George to the guy he is now. What an amazing person, amazing role model. And absolutely hilarious. If there's one person I would ever want to have a barbeque with, it's George Foreman, hands down. No one even comes close.
With all the Golden Era fighters who have suffered untimely deaths recently it's good to see George Foreman going strong. Apart from the Lyle fight he was never involved in wars in his youth and with what he said about how hard he worked, that no doubt puts him in good stead from a physical health point of view. He always tells young fighters that boxing isn't their whole life, and that's god and right. It's a dangerous game and if you can't participate without being harmed you shouldn't be in it. It's horrible that a man engage in this thing until he's almost 40 and then because of it has only 15 to 20 years more to live in rapidly declining health when he should easily have made 80-90 in age. By pursuing interests beyond the ring, Foreman did the right thing. It got him started, but boxing is now not that big a thing in his life, which is as it should be. He's George Foreman, entrepreneur, businessman, preacher, philanthropist...and boxer.
Who would have EVER thought back in the early 70s that George Foreman would be such a successful businessman, as well as such a great interview. He never has a bad thing to say about anyone (at least publicly)...and turned his greatest loss (against Ali) into a great and even humorous story. This guy is awesome.
Me too Brother - I am 105kg and 6.1ft and fit and I can box but I would RUN for miles to avoid George hitting me.....RRUUUUUUUUUUUNNN. What a man he is
I'm a life long fan of George Foreman. Love his smile it seems to melt all troubles away. What a Lion King of a man love the way he say Mayweather is the greatest fighter but Muhammad Ali the greatest among men . Humble too
he's smart and sharp as a razor and what a nice guy!! smart with his money and business.. so glad to see someone from that era of boxing do so amazingly well.. how old is he??
One reason George is still so sharpin the mind is he didn't really have a bunch of tough long distance fights. George is the Strongest boxer physically ever. plus,he had so many short fights because he kod everyone so fast. He also had a underated defense with those tree trunks for arms protecting him. George was Truly Great! He could have beat anyone in the history of boxing.
Помнете тези великолепни интервюта,все пак Джордж Форман е последния от великите титани в профи бокса за всички времена.Респект шампионе... Remember these great interviews, after all George Foreman is the last of the great titans in professional boxing of all time. Respect champion ...
@Good Morning Good Afternoon and Good Night sweetheart.....I am sorry, but I don't date strangers over the internet(not saying you would try to hurt me,I am sure you are a sweet man, you sound genuine and kind, a protector)..But It is waaay to dangerous, I am only 5 foot 2(in heels) and 115 lbs...a very tiny lady.......I would easily be overpowered and raped, and there would be nothing I could do about it. Anyone would just have their way with me, wouldn't even have to tie me up, I am fit, but I am just too tiny. By the time they were done with me, I would be carrying whomevers baby. I hope you understand my dear.
What a great guy! Great American, Great Fighter, Great and humble person. Once shook his hand, down to Earth. So happy I lived during his time. Greatest fight ever, Foreman/Lyle, George showed his metal that day. Forever a fan, God Bless this Great American!
The great G.F a great boxer and friend. Quite talented and an affable boxer inside and outside of the ring. Take care George and join the family of nation as you are very charismatic person for your honesty.
George Forman...what can you say? Not only one of the finest heavyweights of all time but also one of the finest gentlemen ever to come out of that sport. He's truly something special.
When he made his comeback I followed him with great interest, after seeing his earlier career on video , I had much respect for him, the second time round. His genuine concern for his opponents, when he had them hurt, moved me.👍
George Forman’s come back is the greatest of all time in any sport. Have a long boxing career retire come back after 10 years for another career only to win a heavyweight title again.
