Sounds to me like George didn't really have anything to do with it! The other guy and his wife are the ones who got it going. That's how it works in this world. The guy with the name recognition doesn't have to do anything and he builds his brand on the backs of others. They don't get any recognition because they are not well known. Kind of disgusting how this world is. I just hope the other guy got a big chunk of the change but I bet he didn't get anything. He may have gotten a 10% cut or something. Trashy human beings out here!

@@LC-go1uhThey approached George and offered him a deal. You act like he stole something. George Foreman came from nothing and busted his ass his entire life. That’s the entire reason they wanted to use his name to sell their grill. Because believe it or not an electric grill isn’t really something that people thought they wanted until George Foreman started pushing it. So he deserve the credit for the success and he didn’t steal shit or even ask for a deal. The deal was offered to him.
@louis_sass WRONG, Beeaaastch. His friend came up with it and his wife is the one who wS cooking. His dumb azz pretends like he had a hand in it when he didn't. Also, he never worked a kick in his life. He had a natural talent at boxing and that's all it was. Everybody has a natural Talent at something. Just most people don't have a natural Talent that makes them famous and brings them money. That's just something people are born with. He was born with it, son! No hard work! Wake up, young lad!

Lol 💯 % , god old Mac Donald’s shows age & if it’s not an old person saying it then they usually from the south &/or even some towns in the “Midwest” lol Some other old timers will say (Also drives me crazy when ppl say these 1s) Warsh instead of wash Walmarts instead of Walmart Picksburgh instead of Pittsburgh Or they add The to the name of certain place ….. Let’s go to The Walmarts….
Especially considering how he made a comeback and was in some bouts with real young killers and usually that stuff is pretty bad when it comes to developing CTE(repeated head trauma later in life) He was in like 80 fights and he's still got all of his marbles it's pretty impressive. George also had a really good chin and was really good at slyly deflecting blows or rolling with punches which probably helped.
@@ThePinkMan He wasn’t knocked out. He fell on the canvas out of pure exhaustion. It wasn’t Ali’s punches that brought him there. I know it’s has been recorded as a KO but he wasn’t ever knocked out during his career
I will forever respect and appreciate George Foreman when my father Henry Clark passed away he sent two reefs to his funeral with sparring gloves and boxing gloves my three brothers and I each have one as a memory of his generosity to my dads legacy as a Pro Boxer from1964 to 1979.

@@leir2005 It would've. Hogan was still a huge thing at that point. He created a generation of wrestling fans and they would've gobbled it up and word of mouth about how good it was would have sold even more. Now after his controversies they would've thrown his name in a trashcan and got someone else to promote. But luckily none of that came to pass. And we still have George Foreman Grills til this day.
😂😂😂 Hulk Hogan had the same manger as Foreman he called them both to endorse the grill but Foreman was the only to answer the phone so he got paid and Hogan still Salty 😂😂😂
@@redre1ated - Hogan has told several versions of the story. There is one where he said he knew about the grill and health products. He went with the heath products because it complimented his image more. The grill worked for George because of his image and the fact that the company was willing to expand on what worked. I've once owned the original model, the 3 more as they got bigger and cooked more evenly. They are not perfect by a long shot, but they do serve a purpose and an audience.

i honestly never made the connection in my head that this man made the grill bc i've had it my whole life i knew the grill before i knew the person that's how good it is
Back in day I had me a couple of those George Foreman grills. They were one of the best inventions of alll time. It really was a lean mean fat killing machine
if your getting your first apt I would argue a George Forman grill is a staple.. for college anybody living alone for that matter that grill is your friend. Your gonna have that thing for at least 10 years it doesn’t break or even need fixin.
Man…I’m a truck driver so I practically live as a college student on the road like some of these guys are saying and yes, if you don’t want to be stuck eating ramen and microwave meals 24/7 then This is the tool for you! Frozen burger patty can be fully cooked to your liking in 5-7 minutes flat! If you can put it on a charcoal or gas grill, you can put it on this thing and it will cook it quicker! Clean up is simple and easy to store. Everyone is right about these things lasting forever too.
I'm glad George still has all of his marbles he speaks really well for a boxer that's been in almost 80 pro fights. Usually guys with that many heavyweight bouts can barely string together a sentence.
Back in the day George was the Shaq O'Oneal when it came to advertising for companies. He was everywhere Now that being said, George has always been a good story teller He didn't created nothing above the slogan he used to say about the grill machine. Originally the grill campaign was offered to Hulk Hogan. Hogan turned it down to go with another company with its own item, but it failed bad. The company then went to Foreman and struck out a deal and the rest is history. He ended up selling his name rights for $110 million. He was also supposed to do a joint campaign with Jackie Chan to market it to China but I believe that deal fell through.
@@anthonytaylor7928 hulk Hogan said it in an interview. Shows how much you know. When asked what was a business decision regret he had, he said the people from the grilling company proposed the idea of him be the face of the grill before going to foreman "Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan once claimed that he was asked to be the original pitchman for the world famous grill. However, according to him, he missed a voicemail from his agent offering him a choice between putting his name on the grill or a blender."....... The more you know kid. Lol RU-vid and Google is free lol
Hulk Hogan said the people who created the grill went to him first, he turned it down 🤦🏾♂️. So they went to Big George with the deal and history was made. Hulk said was one of his biggest regrets. George’s version is a bit different 🤷🏾♂️.
Michael W. Boehm, NOT George Foreman invented the grill & sold it to Salton Inc . Salton Inc then HIRED George to be the pitchman and that's how the "George Foreman Grill" came about.
I was so proud of GF , to see what he had come from, a mean, nasty , chip on his shoulder fighter from the 70s to a nice respectable reinvented version of the man that he now is. Way to go champ !!!
He had nothing to do with creating it. They paid him a fee to slap his name on it. Hulk Hogan was offered the endorsement deal for it first but he foolishly turned it down. The rest is history 😂😅
"Joint venture" he owned the lion's share of the company and made 40% of the profits. Georgr was extremely savvy as a businessman and the perfect salesman. I'm an Account Executive, starting off I studied many of his strategies.
@@skepchica that might be true, but he had nothing to do with the development of the product. It already existed. It just needed the right branding. Who would have thought a retired boxer could be the person to do it?
THAT GRILL WAS THE MVP IN MY HOUSE!! AND I CANT LIE, IT WAS MY WIFES IDEA TO GET ONE.. GREAT INVESTMENT AND WE EVEN BOUGHT MY DAUGHTER ONE WHEN SHE STARTED COLLEGE AT TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY..

Olympic gold medalist Undisputed champion Toe to toe with Ali Rumble in the Jungle Grill named after him Multimillionaire …Forman was achieved the American dream
For anyone that thinks those grills are just gimmicks, you’re dead wrong. They cook unbelievably well, and fast! Prepare for the easiest grilled cheese sandwich of your life lol.
I dont think he came up with the grill idea. You know Hulk Hogan had first crack at the grill. He took a pasta shop instead. George got sloppy seconds and made $140 million. Best sloppy seconds ever
I had 2. I destroyed the first one. I was cleaning my 308 FNL...I took to mag out but didn't realize I dropped the breach and took the mag out. I was going to break it down and pulled the trigger. It hit the corner of my fridge and went into my cabinate and busted the grill and the splinters went into the wash room infront of my bedroom and bathroom. The bullet splinters were in the 2nd sheet rock. I thought it might have hit my wife. But the fridge looked like the Terminator 2 melted the corner and busted the grill to pieces.went out and got another grill.
Hard work is one thing but when you actually have a useful and greatly needed product. It did help that you were in your 40s and still KOing ppl, doesnt seem to have any brain defects like most fighters. Wit That alone i trusted your health advice
He’s kind of a liar! Another guy came up with the idea, but couldn’t get it marketed. George Foreman was asked to put his name on it and the rest is history. The guy who invented the product walked away with nothing.
How many people like this is beyond me my parents use it and I fuckan hate it. I think what it does to meat is down right almost disrespectful. Dries it out and burns the living daylights outta it. The top grill marks look like it was branded or something. Y’all must like your meats well done like old people 🤣
We had one of those windows first came out and that thing was awesome you can make hamburgers on the thing you can make quesadillas you can make them do anything on one of those you know what’s funny is I always knew George Foreman for that and not for his boxing career I didn’t even know that he had a boxing career
Moms had one of these things when I was a kid, I remember somehow the hinges came off, maybe it was dropped or something, and it still worked broken in half. She never got rid of it.
Let me say this and I am not a paid actor. I've had one since they've came out. I literally use it every day of my life for breakfast and etc.. It's cheap and will last forever.
Man that george foreman grill was a life savor my grandparents had one and it was the first thing I learned to cook on and as a kid it felt like the future cook wherever whenever without propane it was like hearing God came back down to earth
We have all sinned and fallen short of Gods glory sin is terrible because of sin we are separated from God but gladly here is the good news Jesus Christ came and walked this earth for everyone taught us the perfect way to live and how we should live and he died for our sins because we need a sacrifice to pay the price for our sins since our sins deserve hell if we live in sin but also more good news Jesus rose from the dead three days later we have to leave the sin behind and put it away and live new with Jesus this world is like a vapor it passes away but your eternity is forever and it is up to you what you want to do with it Jesus Christ is coming soon….
