Corbyn , I think detests the racist right wing Israeli government, but, it is easier to just scream "JEW HATER" than defend the indefensible. I have had many Jewish friends who I love dearly, they squirm at the vicious violence on innocent civilians in Gaza by the racist right wing government that is in power in Israel.
Corbyn doesn't detest anybody, don't judge him by your own standards. He believes in dialogue to resolve problems, that means talking to both sides in a dispute to stop them killing each other.
Dan Hodges still just doesn't get it! It does not matter how often you define "reasonable people", by whether or not they accept Boris Johnson's version of events, if the evidence is not there, your argument - according to 'British values' - is null and void. THE EVIDENCE IS NOT THERE. It little matters how much Bojo jumps up and down, and stamps his feet, shouting, "But I'm right!", THE EVIDENCE IS NOT THERE FOR THE CLAIM!
GOD SAVE US FROM THE MULTI-MILLIONARIES' CENTRIST PARTY! It would be far more accurate, were it to be named THE ESTABLISHMENT RESCUE PARTY! Our Establishment knows that the Electorate is SEETHING because of what the Establishment, from Crown downwards, has done to our Country!
Mark Lewis: I have no idea as to the nationalities of any of the donors to this Establishment;ishment Rescue Party: nor am I bothered whether they are Zionists or Nazis. They will all, certainly, be entitled, privileged and well-heeled: probably with both feet in the Industrial War Machine and Drugs Cartels! Their wealth will be their 'god'!
Mark Lewis: Please be assured that I know the difference between 'racism' (as practised by HAMAS; and some black South Africans, for example) and simply being 'anti' an ideology.
Mark Dyer is that the same racism being pursued by the Israeli government? You seem to have a blind spot for the little racist, settler state of apartheid Israel. A rogue state who constantly defy the united nations and leads the Americans around by the nose. If you can defend the inhumane treatment of Palestinians by the IDF, then you truly are an immoral person.
If you look at four categories: 1). Irrational hatred of people who follow the jewish faith. 2). Criticism of israeli foreign and domestic policy. 3). Dislike of international jewish gangsterism. 4). Criticism of talmudic supremacism. Only ONE of the above categories could be labelled anti-semitic.
Correct. It is possible to accuse a Jewish person or Israel for a crime or critique their behavior, that does not constitute anti semitism. Hence BDS is not antisemitic, it is all down to the motive of the person committing the act. Knowing the motive behind an act is of course often very hard but if the critique is correct the motive is probably not anti semitic and even if it is the critique as such should be met not the eventual motive of it. Unfortunately (it can subvert democracy) in many places the Israeli lobby is very strong and the word anti semitic is used to describe and smear anybody with any type of critique no matter how well founded. This is not good since it diminish the value of the term, this has already happened but it is getting worse. The same goes for rabidly defending Israeli criminal acts and wrong doings, even if there is a big difference between the Israeli state and the Jewish people this breeds anti semitism in the long run since many, wrong fully, equates the 2. In the US it is not necessarily rasist to arrest a black person but it could be unless he/she has committed a crime.
You heard George mention the Jewish population in the UK is about 300,000. There are 68 Jewish members that sit in the house of Lords which constitute nearly 10% of total Lords and is by far the largest contingent of any minority group. It is in fact a grossly disproportionate number considering the representative minority population of 300k. Peter Mandelson, who is Jewish, said of Corbyn when he was elected leader "I am working every day to undermine Jeremy Corbyn".
This guy Dan is a piece of work. He goes on to apologise for getting it wrong on the war on Iraq but without skipping a step goes on to assure everyone that he's spot on on the skripal thing which could lead to a conflict with Russia
Glad to see you holding this guy's feet to the fire George. It's true that SOME may blame a small section of people for socio-economic problems but personally I don't think it's a "rampant" problem. There will always be outliers in any political party and it's supporters but most people realize that 99% of people are just trying to get by and live a good life and aren't pointing fingers at groups like the Jewish people or Middle Eastern people and saying "you're to blame for all our problems". Every day people who have little to no money or power can't influence policies that widely affect most peoples' every day lives.
Dan Hodges is passive aggressive but George kept his cool and argued brilliantly - I wish the shadow cabinet had been half as passionate and effective at the time
Hodges is appalling. I'm a fairly new member of Labour. I've not come across any Anti-Semitism. I think many can't abide the thought of having a UK Administration that's sympathetic to the Palestinian people in charge of UK. That's the reason for this campaign. Labour is no more racist than the Tories or society in general.
1:29 "Well you might, but I don't think many others would". Well, you might not read The Guardian and the comments under their articles, but many others not only would, but do.
All these cries of antisenitism put me in mind of Joe Pasquale singing _I know a song that'll get on your nerves_ or doe-eyed Norman Pipkin lamenting to Mr Grimsdale that he tends to annoy people. All the tolerance in the world just is never enough.
Hatred is a perfectly rational response to someone who is promoting and enabling policies and actions that you believe, or can prove will lower or endanger the quality of life, personally or within your community or country. There is nothing wrong with anger and hatred, they are meant to motivate you to action, not necessarily destructive, and to resolve the issue. However, one shouldn't allow their anger to motivate them to immoral or unethical action unless of course, it is a matter of your life versus someone else's.
Dan Hodges aligns himself with ‘reasonable people’.............eeeeeek! He works for the Daily Mail !! - is there a lower position in British media? (apart from The S*n)
Whether thick by careerist intent or by inherency, Hodges brings down the quality of a show which is normally very educational. I don't mind the right wing having a voice, but there's no intellectual value in his evidence-free brand of thinking/deliberate disinformation. Why not have someone with a modicum of respectability, like Peter Oborne, who can present an alternative view without forcing people to change the station till he's gone?
Does anyone else detect the voice of a person who is not genuine in their words? I will not mention who. As it would be wrong of me to make any suggestions.

Corbyn reminds me of Boxer the horse in Animal Farm. Principled and steadfast, but nor bright enough for high office. GQ had an interview with him in which the conclusion was that Corbyn did not understand the question (which was asked repeatedly but not answered), let alone the answer. Similarly, in a presentation on Does Socialism Work? at Oxford, Corbyn did not appear to understand the question. His whole talk was on "Wouldn't you prefer to live in a country which was fair?" - which was not the question. But like Boxer, he ploughs on. Unlike Boxer, he has a big following.
