George Galloway, in my opinion, is one of the most honest men ever, anywhere in history at any time. I Am a Canadian man in my 70s, And i say, We need more truth, and less fake news. In other words We Need George and others like Him. Thank You George for being You, I Love You, because You speak for people who have no voice just like me. Thanks.
Allan Mcewan oh fuck off loser u bigot grow up because he tells the truth does not make him Muslim idiot he tells the truth about Israel which even a few rabbis have and few Jewish ppl
Voting attendance, I don't vote because why should i choose between the lesser of two evils. He goes by this too. Refusal to vote is a statement that he disagrees with the options he is given to vote on. People just try to twist it to make it look like he's never there.
I got to love how each individual politician in the UK are held so accountable. Here in the US, it's all in Black and White with right wings blaming the left wings and vice versa.
I like george. sometimes I think he talks a little extreme, However he has his own opinion, its fresh and he does not repeat other bile that labour and conservatives spew just to gain a vote. go george ! :)
Galloway barely finished answering the first question and already he's hitting the nails on their heads and the audience is already behind him because he speaks the truth.
I agree that the Palestinians have been let down massively, not just by the Arab world but by the rest of us, if our government is gonna support Isreal then surely they must also help the Palestinians, so we agree on that. I would say that the conflict could be somewhat resolved if the west stopped giving money, weapons and political support to Isreal, let them resolve this on their own, it is none of Americas or Britains business.
George Galloway - man of the century! Well spoken, courageous and straight shooter. If you doubt, see his duel at US Senate with Jewish senators Coleman and Lewin. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j5u1skEoqLs.html
@Olekander That the old etonians have the best education is precisely the point that Galloway is making. Galloway is saying that the 'old etonians' get their 'best education' as a result of successive labour governments who do nothing to fix the gap between the rich and the poor. There is a cycle whereby the rich are better educated and therefore are taken into the party, and once in the party, their policies protect the interests of their own kind leading to a widening gap in social classes.
Your right, I'm at cambridge at the moment and the college which takes the most private school children is trinity which takes 61%, almost all take significantly more state school children. Its nothing like the 8 times as many private to state.
Democracy would be better served if we had more characters like Galloway in parliament. We need representatives who speak their mind, who stand up for the people and aren't influenced by lobbyists.
He's got bigger cahones than you mate. He was crossing the border through Egypt to get people's voices heard. While you were watching Simpsons on the sofa
Thatcher amassed an enormous fortune, as did her son, during her stint as PM. So much for being a grocers daughter. Sad that the great Clive James failed to mention that.
@onesy1 eh, excuse me my friend just remember that when westerners are travelling to the middle east/ arab nations we are encouraged to acknowledge their customs, and believes with regards to things such as religion, womens dress, consumption of alcohol and certain foods etc. There seldom seems to be the same common courtesy extended the other way
@bigderekkeene btw that wasn't an assumption about yourself, I was expressing why I believe this topic receives so much attention in general. There are worse things to get up in arms about, such as the awful treatment of arab-looking people under the terror laws or that of the unfortunate Gaza protestors who were bullied into accepting lengthy prison sentences.
It somewhat is, its certainly disproportionate the amount of private school students compared to the amount nationally, i think more than anything its class war and the idea that people who aren't rich and posh won't fit in which, although completely false, puts a lot of state school students off from applying
@ ChummyJermel: I see your point, but if it wasn't for the Labour party abolishing assisted places (while Galloway was still a member), then maybe more of those private schooled people would be working class. To be fair, I actually agree with you - education should be more egalitarian & the system should be as purely based on merit as possible. I think Galloway said it better elsewhere when he said Blair & co had climbed the ladder themselves, yet burned it for future generations...
Alexander the Great did conquer Afghanistan, he launched his invasion of India from Afghanistan. Greek soldiers in Afghanistan declared Independence from the Hellenistic kingdom of the Seleucids and founded the Greco-Bactrian kingdom, which is why India and the Far East began to make sculptures of humans.
So you (personally) do not think that the conflict between the south and north of Sudan had a religious element to it whatsoever? The idea that the majority muslim north battered the christian south is simply nonsense? Glad to read that you aknowledge there are differences between the races - sadly many do don't go along with that.
@kkwillsaveus, yeah she put it in reverse for over 40% of the population (the poorest). Some might say that is a price worth paying for the economic liberation of the other 60%....
I know what you wrote and by support i meant financially. I've got a question for you. When our allied troops are sent to way, are they not terrorising innocent people? It all depends on what you call terrorism you see. Killing people and destroying homes is wrong no matter what, but one side cannot be seen as good, and the other bad. If you support the opposing group financially then of course will be labled a maverick as the government don't want to be seen as the wrongdoers
I'm not on youtube or indeed online every day, I have a life to live other than arguing with you on youtube. So yeah, it might take a few days, sometimes I'll reply immediately, depending on if I can be bothered or how much I care about what you say at the time.
@onesy1 you arent honestly trying to build a case for the burkha are you? Please refrain from making assumptions about me if we are going to debate. Its certainly not about muslim prejudice. Perhaps you would be good enough to tell me what purpose the burkha serves in todays world?
Actually, what you will find is that there are countries around the world that allow men and women to be married at different ages. Again, if you had done your research then you would know that Muslims can arrange Marriages between young girls and older men on paper and even between children but its only on paper and it isn't until the child has become adult or at least reached puberty that the marriage can take place. Before the marriage takes place the girl can refuse the marriage...
if he wanted only power he not have been so outspoken on his points of view regarding the iraq war like the rest of the labour party members he would have fallen in line and not got thrown out of the party in power. nuff said
if more labour politicians spoke there minds, and give the workers some hope, from the corporate modernisation machine. galloway would never get on telly
@onesy1 I'm gonna tell you, one last time to refrain from making assumptions about me. I do know muslim women and have had conversations with them on the subject, and i'm not a Daily Mail reader thanx very much. Given that i cant make head nor tail of the rest of the gibberish you've posted I'm at a loss as to what else to put in this comment! lol
All those years ago. George G was on the money, spot on. What a full blown disaster, iraq and Libia join the disaster queue. We leave Afghanistan achieving?
*please note that "Palestine" was represented at the Olympics NOT an entity called either the "West bank" or "Gaza": read into that what you will*.Clearly the demarcation of the country is not the size it was in the time of the Ottoman empire prior to the invasion by Commonweath forces in 1917 on that we can (at least) agree?Strange that when Jordan took over the "west bank" there was no call for Palestinian independence (that only happened after the loss to Israel of that land in 1967 - weird?)
@pacmandem Spot on, pacmandem!! Better to slag him off for something he did on a ridiculous programme like Big Brother than listen to what he says. There'd be a danger you might learn something.
I'm talking about the population of the country know identified as "South Sudan" not the larger northern part - called simply "Sudan"! - were you not aware that the country has now split in two? (clearly word of that independent country has not reached Sutton in Ashfield!) Muslims in Tibet? - let's not get side-tracked.Although their percentage of population is relatively low - even more so as the Chinese governement are shipping in loads of Han Chinese to help eradicate the native population.
