He wasnt the quiet Beatle and hated that term. As Tom Petty Ringo said, the others were just really loud. Its horrible you dont want to see the video... its brilliant, George would have loved it. Plus, it has all his old friends and family in it, plus new George footage and some of the best George inside jokes, ever. Dhani did an amazing job

@@janes.1559 Horrible? No. The video can be watched but sitting and hearing the beauty in his voice is a blessing. yes, there are wonderful people in the video. George Harrison may have found this the be the best video on the planet. But it is never "horrible" to sit and listen to that voice, singing that song, with no distractions.

You might be surprised...

It's not just the first three notes of the melody. Those three notes comprise two measures of the song that are used 11 times in the song, And then the same measures are moved up a key when the key changes in the middle of the song and used 28 more times. In "He's So Fine" they form the verses of the song, In "My Sweet Lord" they are used as the chorus, In the key of E the chord changes are F#m - B, except for the key change where they become G#m - C#. Then E - C#m two measure change and the melody that is presented twice in the verse beginning with "I really want to know you" is essentially Identical to the beginning of the chorus in "He's So Fine" that starts with "I don't know how I'm gonna do it". Same chord changes, same timing, same melody except for some of the notes' duration change to accommodate the length of the vocal phrase (which happens in both songs). So yes, a lot of this song came from "He's So Fine. But I don't think for a minute that George Harrison consciously stole any of it. Even the judge in his ruling said he thought it was something George had subconsciously remembered, but the similarities were too many to ignore and the way the law was written he had no choice but to find it a copyright violation. I love George Harrison and this is one of my favorites by him anyway. I totally understand how this can happen. I was working on a song I was writing years ago. I was excited about it, I thought it was turning into the best song I had ever written. It sounded like a dirge to me, slow and accompanied by a nice fingerstyle on the guitar. I had written a couple of verses, the first went like this: "You cried yourself to sleep last night, This life's been hard on you. I'd like to ease your troubled mind, But there's nothing I can do." A friend of mine, also a musician, came by and I told him excitedly about this awesome new song I was writing. He listened, and then he said, "That's cool. Write down those chords for me". I did and he picked up my guitar and started singing using my chords but with a faster upbeat tempo: "Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, A tale of a fateful trip That started from this tropic port Aboard this tiny ship." I was shocked! I had subconsciously stolen the theme song from "Gilligan's Island" Ruined that creation for me :)
