SF needs to reload, need to get another TE on the other side of George, someone like Jake Ferguson or Travis Kelce, need a WR3 like tyreek or DK metcalf, both preferably, some tweaks on defense maybe add complementary players like aaron donald and myles garrett, but probably a few more pieces beyond that

I'm not even mad or disappointed in that game. Both teams were throwing haymakers on defense! That game was electric from the start. Unfortunately we lost. Both teams had blunders, both teams missed opportunities.

I absolutely hate Shanahan. He has a huge ego. All the superbowl leads (three of them) that he's lost are because of his ego. He always choses to stop running the ball. He is always against the 9ers in the superbowl. Unlike his dad.
I would say maybe Kittle in red zone situations. He was shut down for pretty much the whole game. Niners ran the ball well but went away from it in the third quarter. If they stuck to the run they would have had more trips to the red zone for everyone including Kittle to feast.
Bingo.. For weeks I'm like GET KITTLE THE BALL.. He is a great blocking TE but we need those hands just like KC needs Kelsey.. 49ers will be back. Next season is grudge season.
Kittle is one of the very best Tight Ends ever and huge respect for his talent and humbleness .. coming from a Chiefs fan who would love to have him on the team
@@sharull6074kittle and Kelce don’t play the same. Kelce is a zone beater. His feel for finding soft spots in the zones is unmatched. I’m not sure kittle has that same feel for getting open in zone. Kittles definitely more physical and probably faster but that’s not necessarily what the chiefs need.
As someone rooting for Chiefs, I really like Kittle. What a dynamic player and his points are spot on. 49ers are solid and will be a tough team to beat for future.

Great game. Nice interview by Kittle. 49ers need some young, beast O-Linemen. OL had some untimely penalties, special teams muffed the punt return opening the gates for Mahomes, Moody’s missed PAT was critical, and the lack of plays to Kittle and Aiyuk was confusing. Time to prepare for the draft and next season. Thank you 49ers for a good season 🙌
No excuses, as a lifelong 49er fan, the best team won. I love Kittle and he is such a great tight end. I see a bright future for this group and it won’t take us long to get back. Even Vegas thinks so. We already are considered the favorite for next year. Just think the ball is oblong for a reason. Sometimes it bounces your way, sometimes not. Prime example was the punt that hit our player’s foot and gave them new life. More plays to tire our defense.

More times than not non contact injuries are the worst. 9ers wouldn't be there had one of the coaches of the precious 2 teams they played in the playoffs made better decisions. Let me tell u why it struggled, Kyle and the other coaches almost completely abandoned the run game in the second half and they should’ve known what the chiefs was gonna do on the final play of that drive and they barley got Kittle involved 2 rec 4 yds pathetic
Born and raised in KC. Tbh, I counted us out. SF played a hell of a game. I was shocked SF turned over the ball with 2 mins left. But they did, and Patrick gained momentum to finish and conquer in OT with Andy's great clock mgmt. Both teams fought hard! Crazy game!!

George Kittle is a well spoken, introspection and articulate guy. He's a professional in every sense of the word and a real quality type person. I always liked him even though I'm a Chief's fan.
I'm a life long Chiefs fan, but I have MAD respect for George Kittle. Dude made zero excuses. It was an awesome Super Bowl, but I think the team who made the least mistakes won. The Chiefs stunk it up in the first half, they left the door wide open. But in the second half, the Chiefs cleaned up a lot and played like they had all during the playoffs. Sucks that one team had to lose.
No one is talking about the first down given to the chiefs on the 4th quarter minute 1:40. It was supposed to be 2 and 8. And suddenly it was reset to 1 and 10. Mind blowing

Don't forget how the pro bowler Trent Williams had 2 back to back penalties that stalled the drives. I like Purdy but he needed to grow a set and make plays happen when the plays broke down just like Mahomes was able to do.
it is headscratching that the Chiefs defense was able to cover and blanket 3-4 All Pro offensive weapons for a whole game. They were not prepared, the energy from the defense did not rub off the offense, and the defense was just gassed at the end. I remembered the Bucs-Chiefs Superbowl a little bit in this game. Hard work beats talent if talent does not work hard, that goes to Kyle for not leading his offense to play to win, they were playing haymaker style not-to-lose.
CMC fumbled as the offense neared the SF red zone. Special team turned over the ball inside the KC red zone leading to 7. Moody missed. I don’t know what Shanahan said at halftime, but they looked terrible in the 3rd and 4th Q.

Now if Ray-Ray jumped on the ball. Chiefs don’t get 7 and that would’ve also been the difference. Niners gave this game to KC by letting them stick around.
@@aftertheheadlines exactly. what they did in the OT drive was supposed to be what they were supposed to do in the 3rd quarter to slow and tire the Chiefs defense, but did not. Purdy was uncharacteristically not taking the underneath routes, but maybe because of his height and the ability of the D-line batting his throws if he throws low. He was forcing sideline or jumpball throws to covered WRs. Should have used plays that do more of the flats and screens.
@@ssaepa1 yeah, rewatched it again yesterday if Mahomes did not have time al game long, but he did. and they were actually getting yards running the ball in the first half, they were just stubborn and impatient to grind it out to get TDs, even when they were in the redzone, they did not tire the Tampa defense, which energized the defense more.
I rewatched the game and Kittle got no separation! He was a no show. 2 rec 4 yards. His injury happened later in the game. Kelce was a no show in the first half and you could see him fighting for separation in the second half. And you saw the results. Kittle was the reason we lost. Kittle was healthy when we could’ve put the Chiefs away.
Kittle should look to finish his career with a team that values his talents as a tight end and not as a right tackle. Imagine Kelce/Gronk finishing a super bowl with 1 target, 4 yards.. lol.

It was EXPECTED. 49ers offense been shaky all playoffs except the 2nd vs us. Brock Purdy was robbed by that offense except McCaffrey an Jennings the only ones worth bringing back.

Can't catch the ball if it's not even being thrown in your direction. Could he done a better job getting open? Probably. But Kyle's play calling was awful this game. Especially the situational play calling.
Brock simply played as a game manager! He didn’t mess up, but he didn’t do anything to put his team over the top! SF had an allstar team! They may get one more run at it before they have to pay Purdy and that team mostly falls apart! CMC will wear down!
They did pretty damn good for having such a young QB playing in the super bowl. Purdy, with no turnovers, had his team on the brink of victory. Turnovers cost them. Mahomes did absolutely nothing for almost three quarters until the turnover on the punt.
People typically are watching as a fan I'm watching as a Coach. What has me furious is the lack of preparation from the defensive side. Nick Bosa was not containing his Gap #1 But what was most aggretious is having the defense change the Game plan in the middle of the Game!!!

Dont want to talk about what couldve shouldve would've. Deebo, kittle and mccaffrey didnt want it enough. Too fkn quiet throughout the game. Get some balls and yell at kyle when he stuck in neutral not running the ball. If im mccaffrey how aint you on the sidelines demanding the ball in that entire 3rd qrt. 4 drives for a total of 4 rushing attempts
It’s a tough one, we let the chiefs back in it with that fumble off that punt. It also felt like Kyle was not mentally prepared for certain situations. The last drive they had in regular time had to be the nail in the coffin.
George kittle spent Superbowl week admiring his idol Travis Kelce and when the Superbowl was said and done he had under 20 yards receiving and yet again another Superbowl loss. Meanwhile his idol Kelce has taken from him a total of two super bowl rings. Keep idolizing Kelce and see where that gets you.

Chief fan here, I hate when we lose any game, but I can honestly say as well as you all played I would’ve been OK with it going either way. This definitely isn’t the 49ers team. We played in the Super Bowl years ago.

The Chiefs had their Saturday practice dedicated to going over different situations that they may face. To me there’s no doubt that Kyle never prepares in that manner. I think he’s too confident in his play calling.
If Kittle and Deebo played with half as much consistency as they bring to their social media accounts we could've won this game. I say trade them both and get offensive linemen and corners.
These guys did KC a favor by beating Detroit. Should have taken a page out of their playbook to go for the win at the red zone during OT. Worst case KC would have had to go the whole field on the turnover.
