I had a friend who experienced this. His father had been adopted, but didn’t tell him until he was a teenager. He thought he was Irish, and it was a HUGE part of his identity. Turns out he’s German. 🤣
I never knew this girl was Mexican for the longest. I've always seen her on TV and I knew she was ethnic but was happy to finally find out she's part of the Mexican Familia! 🇲🇽🙌
I think the most messed up thing about this situation is that her adoptive parents didn't tell her. She's a full-grown adult and they hid that from her for literally decades.

I didn't find out that I was a half PuertoRican until I was 10 or 11 y.o. All that time I thought was 100%. But in reality mother is Afro-Puerto Rican however for the longest time, she didn't accept her heritage bc she was traumatize from bullying in her childhood. Dont speak nor listened to any Spanish. Now, she embraced her heritage. #BlackRican
