I completely agree. Of course you can find examples where George may have fallen short as a writer, but that can be said of most writers. I dare anyone who thinks he is not impressive to sit down and try to create such an imaginative story. Not likely.
fuck the nostalgia rush I just got thinking about that, the logos that would bounce from corner to corner, the shitty remote you used to navigate the menu, watching a movie you missed in the theater for the first time on your TV.. it was a different time
Idc what anyone says, I want a 2d animated series about Anakin and Obi wan where Anakin is ages 15-19 and Kenobi is 31-34, starting 4 years before AOTC. With awesome starfighter dogfights (Anakin being the best with only guys like Plo Koon and Eeth Koth initially being better from experience), bounty hunters, assassins, senators, hostage situations, pirates, funny arguments, Anakin going rogue/ragging, Kenobi acting like a father/giving lectures, Palpatine pandering to Anakin, dangerous local races/factions, republic judicial and militia forces (with a slightly different look and style from the ones in episode 1), Corvette fleet style battles, small scale ground battles, the two jedi protecting local villages from raiders in the outer rim, detective style missions (Obi wan good cop supervisor, Anakin overzealous rookie with crazy talent), and cool chase scenes. I want this like 10 years from now. There could be a Dooku cameo. Want to see Quinlan Vos, Plo Koon, Shaak Ti, Krell, Cal's master from fallen order, and other cool jedi. Plus Cad Bane, Aurra Sing, and Embo. We need an Obi Wan and Qui Gon series first. This show should be 5 seasons since we have seen these two so much and the last half of the last season should be the first month of the clone wars up until Anakin is knighted. I also want a Dooku series. I would make this show shorter than TCW, the Dooku series (12 one hour live action episodes), or the Qui Gon and Kenobi series (with 18-20, 3d CGI 30 minute episodes). This series should just have twelve, 30 minute episodes per season.

Someone said in the live chat that they wished Christopher Lee did audiobooks. Good news is he actually did do audiobooks for some of Tolkien's work as he was a big fan.
he knew JRR tolkien personally and was hand picked by tolkien to play gandalf if lord of the rings ever became a movie. he chose to play saruman instead.
@@Samrules888 He actually still wanted to play Gandalf but ended up playing Saruman instead. I think it was the better choice since the books say Saruman's voice was mesmorizing and Sir Christopher Lee has a great voice.
My youth group took about 30 of us to see this opening night. During the Yoda fight scene, my youth pastor got up and started chanting “Yoda! Yoda! Yoda!” The whole theater joined in. One of my favorite memories
@@raifdagget758 I love when people complain about cgi that was ahead of its time with experimental ray tracing techniques that we still use today but because it wasn't perfected and mastered at that time in that very movie, it's considered "terrible cgi". Whenever somebody says that I know for a fact they are speaking BS and know nothing of digital media or its history.

Ever since I saw Revenge Of The Sith I have been in love with Star Wars. Then the Originals came and I just loved Star Wars even more. Coming across this channel changed my life. Thank you Star Wars Theory for being apart of all of our journey of Star Wars, from the Prequels, to Originals, even to the Sequels. Best Star Wars RU-vidr ever. God Bless you.
The haters ruined our potential George Lucas clone wars tv show continuation of season 7,8 & maybe 9 this what happens when fans don’t understand that your just an observer not the artist bc if you were you would’ve done what George had in his head the hypocrisy is surreal, I remember paprazi were harassing george calming they were a fan to get an autograph so they could sell it for money then George says how about you make a movie just go buy a camera & start filming atm i was like wow George thats the attitude you should’ve had for the haters. Thanks Theory for covering these clips it just makes me miss George more & wish he had ignore the negativity & took the criticism with a grain of salt. George Lucas will forever be brilliant to me even though there could’ve been more dialogue to add more depth to the movie still entertaining nonetheless.
Don't worry man, now we kids back then who grew up with the Prequels are here to defend it. We didn't have a voice back then but now all this prequel love is coming from us.
Frankie Gray well, well said Mr. Gray! Yes we could have gotten so much more but the population of the fandom that is just into boom, boom and bang crushed his spirit! The setting for Anakin and Padmes love scenes had a Shakespearian mood! The costumes, the setting and some of the dialogue! Anakins delivery was Shakespearian in places! So much beauty!! G. Lucas new what he was doing His creative force was on full flow gaining insight and inspiration from Shakespeare! Beautiful just beautiful! Anakin and Padme didn’t have to grop each other . The beautiful pause and gaze of Anakins beautiful light in his face said it all!

Every time I see George like this, working in his element.....I just smile and thank him for everything he created. Christopher Lee’s voice is incredible, when he speaks he’s in command of the entire room. I love the prequels so much more because of these videos. The work and imagination and attention to detail that lucas did, that few directors have done. Luv your vids bro, especially these, such uniqueness that only george seems to be able to deliver.

Also you can get hair transplants, which is what lots of famous older actors do (ie: Harrison Ford) also there’s a lot of men who just don’t have the genes to go bald.
I stopped in for 5 minutes and wound up watching the whole thing. That was great. Every time I watch George Lucas work behind the scenes, I respect him even more.

Alex Keeton I love little Anakin and Jar Jar! It’s all good for me , my family and friends! Maybe you like 100 percent dark films for SciFi Fantasy! What films do you love? I believe these were made for a family audience!!! Nice to talk about it!
When my dad took me to the movies to see Episode 2 in 2004 I was about to turn 12 years old, and to this day I will never forget the theater going ABSOLUTELY INSANE when Yoda pulled out his lightsaber for the first time against Dooku
As incredible as everyone on this team was, you can still see the animators hearts ripped out when asked to make a “small” change. The look on their faces is priceless.
That was great. It’s amazing how they pushed the boundaries in every movie even when the technology wasn’t there. Maybe that’s why I find the new movies to be lacking. Mandalorian is doing that though I feel
I hate it just because more than half of movie is just talking It's star wars movie, not star trek Last act is cool but first two are really boring Also some dialog is just so(...) You know.. Also there is "love story", something I would never want to see in movie

I love AOTC. I glad we have this documentary :) Portman and Christiansin’s chemistry is real. I always looked up to them when it came to romance. I love their connection. I know people hate their dialogue and such but every time in AOTC they come on...I just get this smile.
You’re absolutely right theory. I remember being 13 watching the premiere of this movie and when yoda pulled his robe and used the force to pull his lightsaber out and ignite...me, my dad, and the whole theatre lost their collective shit... lol
Say what you want about the acting and dialogue but the aesthetics and attention to detail really shows in these films. They had people working here that really really cared about the originals.
Honestly I like episode 2. It shows how Jango was an expert in fighting a jedi ( when his jetpack works) it was the beginning of showing that non force sensitivites can go against jedi
This gives me the feels i remember going to the movies with my mom to see episode 3 and I seen the re release of episode one in 3D in IMAX it was life changing
Eighteen minutes to the end and I've got *"Hey, old buddy!"* from Dexter stuck in my head. Also, at 42:31, look at the picture on the upper left-hand side of the window, above George's right shoulder. It kinda looks like a blurry image of the Iron Man Mark VI armor from The Avengers (2012). At least to me.
Yeah, and what is especially embarrassing for Disney is that when they were making the prequels, they didn’t have the same technology that the sequels did, yet the prequels are so much better than those crappy sequels.
Thank you, been enjoying these very much, 96 baby so this was the first Star Wars film I saw in theaters. George is a genius, glad he made sure we got the fighting style from yoda we saw in the movie and not that twirl they had going😂 I always heard about the Kermit Miss Piggy thing but never heard it direct from his mouth, so that was great. And the yoda sad face bit had me cracking up but it’s all just so amazing how, he just knows how to make such amazing beautiful films from top to bottom. How meticulous he was on dexter, and to think that gave us the awesome arc with Pong Krell on Umbara. Loved the prequels as much as the originals, thank you George
People hated the puppet in Episode 1, and People hated the CGI Yoda in Episode 2 and 3 Just goes to show how Star Wars fans hate everything No wonder Lucas gave up, you cant please the haters

Bruh, you could say people hated episode 7 cause it was too similar to the OT, but then they hated Last Jedi was too different, brushing off any real criticism. That argument doesn’t work.
I find this so fascinating. I love going behind the scenes and watching how everything comes to fruition. I’ve never seen these. Thank you star wars theory
This is what I love about movies - watching how the movies are made. This is what fascinates me about Star Wars it was ground breaking and thx the past movies like the wizard of oz, gone with the wind, space oddessy and many more they allowed George Lucas and team to envision and bring these awesome movies to life! I was there opening night at the Chinese theater in Hollywood. The theater went so nuts for the Yoda fight scene, that we honestly couldn’t hear the dialogue between Dooku and Yoda. It was hype AF.
I remember being 7 years old, and seeing Return of the Jedi, like that. In the theaters, multiple times because my Dad and older brother were at the first two, because I was too young when they dropped. (1 and 4 years old, respectively.) But, the hype was real in our house, because we were all fans, and watched it every time it appeared on TV after that. (On HBO at first, then NBC or CBS or whatever would do multiple night runs for the next few years after that.) Then we had absolutely _nothing_ except a couple of made-for-TV Ewok Adventure movies, fan created, (unofficial,) books, and of course the Comics, board and video games, until The Phantom Menace dropped finally when I was 23. But, after the credits rolled on ROTJ we thought that was it. The Star Wars feature film days were over. The story had been told. _(My brother and I refer to that as; "The Dark Times," even now.)_ Fortunately, 1976 was a good year to have been born lol and it's still a great time to be alive, and a Star Wars fan. Especially lately, with The Mandalorian and the Book of Boba Fett, (the most recent couple episodes, in particular,) and everything we still have to look forward to, coming down the road. (Obi-Wan, Andor, Ahsoka, etc.) I still get a little misty watching these fans attending the first screening, opening night, and remembering all that buzz on the News, etc. Star Wars, I suppose, has been a literal part of my DNA since I was a year old. Because yes, I'm the typical 40+ year old man-boy nerd to this day. ✌ 😇
I loved the way each Star Wars trilogy had an actor from Hammer House of Horror in. Cushing in the original and Lee in the prequels. I just wish Disney had cottoned on to the tradition and put a Hammer actor in the sequels. Elliot Gould or Daniel Radcliffe would have done.
@@beastiebros9879 it defo would! It would have been second nature to him too if he was a bit younger as he was special ops in WW2. I reckon if Dooku and Christopher Lee had a fight in real life Christopher Lee would win! Haha.

one thing I never knew about George was how meticulous he was ABOUT EVERY DETAIL OF EVERYTHING. Especially the characters and the mock ups they made. It’s really amazing to see and makes me sad that he wasn’t apart of the sequels. We got robbed as fans, but I also get how time consuming the first six were for him.
All this care and work going into these unique films only for the few on the Internet to hate on them years later. Literally, everyone who did that missed the point. All I ever heard was CGI this and that. These films pioneered CGI. Some places it was very much needed.
@@superkoopatrooper4879 No everyone didnt hate it. I didnt. Star Wars Theory didn't hate it. You arent everyone. I was saying while I can see the issues of the Prequels and why they weren't very well received, these docs show that George at least cared enough to make something great. These were his vision of Star Wars. The vision of the man that created Star Wars. If he made the Original Trilogy the actual way he wanted, you'd saying the same thing about them. Its like hating Stan Lee's vision for Marvel because you like what the MCU did with Marvel. It makes very little to no sense. Geroge Created Star Wars. We didnt. Hate for the Prequels didn't. And if Dave Filoni didnt love the prequels in a way, he couldn't have done what he did with the new clone wars, with the Mando, etc. He's able to give us George's vision in a way that people rather enjoy, thankfully. But it IS George's vision. Like it or not, remove him, you remove Star Wars.
Absolutely loving these. I remember a few of these deleted scenes when I was growing up. I remember looking hard for Easter eggs in the menus because the old extended sets of the Lord of the Rings had an Easter egg in each set.
