@@chantellecline6945 The reason 90 was added to that song was because George had already written a song called Freedom which was a massive hit for his previous group Wham! in 1984. The chorus of Wham!'s Freedom is also the tune played on the organ at the beginning of Faith.
Is he HOT or what? This was the beginning of his solo career. He wrote, sang, arranged, produced, and created his own videos. He also sang duos, many covers of Stevie Wonder, and many more. This album is called faith It stayed number one on the billboards charts for eleven weeks, which was just about on heard of. The funny thing was, He didn't feel this album was that good. I suggest TOO FUNKY& I WANT YOUR SEX. Oh hell, listen to the whole album. Then keep going and going! You've only have 30+ years to go, and he only got better, and better, and better. You're only on the ride of your life in music. Your gonna love him forever, just like all the many, millions of fans. ENJOY!
Your reaction was priceless. I remember when I first saw this on MTV, in the 80's. I was with 3 of my girlfriends. We were all awed by his fabulous butt. We couldn't take out eyes off of him. I think it was called Faith because he was waiting for the day he could..speak his truth. RIP George Michael~~miss you and your outstanding talent.
Now that you've experienced two different styles of music from him, let's go for a third and react to Kissing A Fool. When he did that song, nobody else was doing music like that as a pop/R&B mega star.
R.I.P George💞💖 more song is great singer *FATHER FIGURE* *JESUS TO A CHILD* *FREDOM* *KISSES A FOOL* *SOMEBODY TO LOVE* 👉 Tribute a Freddie Mercury bye QEEN😘🇸🇻 and more song.
Fun Fact: George Michael wrote all the songs in his group Wham AND he wrote all the songs in this album called Faith with the exception of one song. George wrote throughout his career massive hits like Faith, Father Figure, Jesus To A Child, Last Christmas, Careless Whispers, I'm Your Man, Fast Love, I Want Your Sex, Work Hard For The Money, Praying For Time, One More Try, Wake Me Up Before You GoGo and many other hits. He also produced his songs. He was the Bruno Mars of the 80s and beyond. He understood what was cool from music to fashion to what he said in interviews. Long live the memory and music of the legendary icon George Michael.
Fun fact: The church organ instrumental you here just before he starts singing Faith, is playing the tune from Whams song Freedom (the chorus part). Not to be confused with George Michaels solo title song in the 90s also titled Freedom. Whams Freedom is a nice very catchy song to react to!
You need to listed to his version of Somebody to Love that he sang at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert with Queen. The best performance of the night.
If you haven't already react to "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" by Wham. That's the band George had that included his friend Andrew. It's a good dance song! George was so handsome ♡ Edit. Check out "Careless Whisper" too!!
He was pretty cute guy especially when he popped on MTV with that 5 day beard. I was sad for a few moments when he came out at gay but quickly realized I was married to Elvis anyway so it didn't matter
Gorgeous George.....beautiful voice beautiful person. So glad you have been able to check him out, I suggested him on your vote for new artists. He was so so good live too, anything from the charity of hope concert is just spot on vocally.
You haven't even touched on the breadth of George's accomplishments and talents. He had one of the best male voices of his time and was one of the few artists who could cover iconic songs by other amazing people and not just do them justice, but quite often improve on them. Try A Different Corner, Jesus To A Child and My Mother Had A Brother for something totally different...
@Shame nolan I'd say the Annie Lennox/Bowie duet stole the show, and then George Michael, but it's not fair because the other were 2 and he was one singer alone xDD
George had so much that followed the Faith album. You have to discover music from Listen without Prejudice, Older and Patience.. His music matured like fine wine as did his voice. Brilliant songwriter singer composer and producer. Talent like George Michaels does not exist anymore.
Rest in peace George Michael this was one of the best songs he sang as well as in a band he was in before this solo career called Wham their big hit was Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go that's another good song to listen to It's a good catchy tune
"Careless Whisper" is fantastic. It was one of Freddie Mercury's favorite songs. Listen and you'll know why. George Michael wrote it when he was only 17 years old.
This was his first song released as a solo artist. Your reaction is hilarious. George Michael was a FINE man! Truss!! I remember when I first heard yeeeeears ago.
The reason he wrote this song in this country music style was because he was a giant fan of Elvis Presley and Elvis sang country music with a Rock twist. So George is basically imitating Elvis on this song as a tribute in the way Elvis moved and sang. But, George was mainly a Pop, Ballad and R&B singer. That was the zone he dominated.
@@THEJAYYSHOW Plenty of girls got the chance. He & his former band mate used to pick up a lot of groupies. They competed with each other to see who could bang more chicks. He even had a long term girlfriend in the 80s for like 4 years. He didn't have a gay relationship until he was in his thirties...so plenty of women did get the chance in the early days. lol
A legend gone. George passed away too soon. He was a great human being and did alot to help people. He was very private about that because he did not want to be in the spolight and media for his amazing acts of kindness. Alot of what he did came out after his death. I have alot of respect for people like him. He was a celebrity but above that he was a man who cared about people and did what he could to help without all that being in the media. So many celebrities are shown doing acts of kindness which is nice but at same time the fact that their team posts it or leaks it to media shows me that they just want good publicity. I respect people like George Michael and others who never wanted it to be a publicity thing!
Freedom is a very powerful video. He is not in it, instead, supermodels. It was his message to the record label that...You cannot use my image and I WILL be and look how I want. It also includes a throw away of this leather jacket.
🤭 thats how i react when i first saw his MV covering song I can make you love me. Then i digg up the Faith album and found it was awarded Album of the year 1989 Grammys. His tone just hit me straight to the heart in his MV Kissing a fool. Girl you should check it out. This guy is Legend and I'm a fan now.
Definitely can't blame you for getting hot there haha. I like how it's a rather "minimalistic" song, as in there isn't a whole lot going on- but it has a big impact nonetheless. I highly recommend you check out Scardust, they're an awesome band and they have a new album coming out in 3 days! Their song Gone is extremely good
LMAO George gets a lot of people hot under the collar. This is his more commercial music, not the stuff he wanted to be producing. Try stuff off the album Older, like Jesus to a Child, You Have Been Loved. Etc.
"Careless Whisper" would be the obvious next go-to. also check out some of the songs from his pre-solo band Wham! ("Wake Me Up Before You Go-go", for instance).
