Having seen George live on all 3 of his major UK Tours(Faith,Twenty25 Live & Symphonica) I can tell you he’s 100% better than any male singer living or dead. This legend could sing Pop,Soul,Funk,Rock & all without breaking sweat. In my opinion he was the Elvis of the modern era(but wrote his own songs unlike Elvis). I miss his humour & his soul.❤️🎶✌️
What a strong powerful vocal. The arrangement is so contemporary and magical. Amazing, even after decades. Iconic as it is 🎉 Love his enigmatic, energetic, charismatic and crisp performances! RIP angel
How did I miss this one. Never really liked Wham and made fun of Faith, but when I heard this song it blew me away. Half naked supermodels did increase my enjoyment of the video of course, and the irony of me checking out Cindy Crawford in the tub during his "coming out" song notwithstanding, the talent to write and create this song was amazing. But THIS performance is astonishing. I watched most of the MTV award shows back then, but somehow did not catch this until now. What an amazing performance. I do wish he could have had a happier end and was not unhealthy and sad when his time came. Astonishing talent here.
I'm 67, I used to live for him! Ok, there was MJ,PRINCE,GEORGE ,STEVIE WONDER ELTON JOHN,BILLY JOEL.THESE WERE ICONS WE WILL NEVER HEAR MUSIC LIKE THST AGAIN.SHEER PERFECTION.
You know, as a little kid hearing this music, I never realized just how good George Michael’s voice was. When I hear it now as an adult, I’m utterly blown away. Just, wow.
Best era of music. Especially watching moments like this. Makes me tear up remembering what I had the privilege to be apart of. I love live vocals or that acoustic aspect. And on top of that the song is super powerful. Has more meaning then one. You can really feel him meaning every word.
One of The BEST live performances ever. Amazing. Even better than the original. George Michael . . . one of the handful of stars with supersonic tallent
What a genuine, badass voice. So much soul! Loved this song as a kid, and much more now. Somehow, the stripped vocals and the unique re-arrangement made it even better. Rest In peace Mr. Michael.
I remember watching this when it first aired in 1991. I taped it and watched it over and over again because I couldn't get over what a fantastic singer he was and that amazing soulful voice of his. There will never be another like him. What a devastating loss
This is how I choose to remember GM. He is totally free now of any kind of scrutiny from the media. What a great talent and from what I saw in interviews an incredible soul. Rest in peace GM.
Just an epic performance. Watched that probably a hundred times and always, in the end, feel like want more. The best voice ever and unique professionalism. Still can't come to terms with George being gone. Surreal.
Its 2021 and I havent heard this since it came out. I loved me some soulful George Michael. Those Europeans loved some american soul music back in the 80's.....Hall &Oats, Boy George, etc. Now, we have Adele, Ed Sheeran, and Sam Smith, etc.
DAMN.Even better than I remembered it! Came away with a whole new respect for this man's talent-and the people who performed with him! Wherever you are today, all of you: You are AMAZING!
One of the coolest MTV performances of all time by the greatest singer songwriter that ever lived.. it feels like I've lost a brother, someone I grew up with, imitating, idolising and enjoying the pure perfection in everything he sang..I will miss you and be forever in awe of your amazing talent.. R.I.P yog ✌🏻
I was dumbstruck seeing this on UK late night TV in 1991 - and here I am 30 years later come looking for this very performance. Some things stick in the mind. Thankyou George. RIP
OMG... WHAT a voice... and OH how that Boy could GROOVE... SURELY one of THE coolest human beings to EVER boogy across the globe... Rest In Peace, George - and THANK you for your enduring lyrical legacy... 🙏🏼🕺😉
Wham's 40th anniversary and the new Singles album coming out this week...and watching this makes me miss George and his music even more. I just keep thinking that his God-given beautiful voice, song writing, and producing talents are back now where they came from. RIP George. Know that you are missed.
A very talented man. He brought a lot to a lot of people. All best wishes to his friends and family of course. His talent will stand the test of time to be sure.
