I am here in 2024. When I listen to George’s music, a piece of my heart breaks for him. Such a beautiful soul. He should have lived a life full of real love and his mate by his side. I love the music he left for us. It is timeless.
We live only as long as the last person who remembers us. And we are remembered by our creations. Art and music and physics….. makes us humans, timeless.
I just sent this don't to my 15 year old son telling him it was THIS song that brought his dad and I back together after over a year and 6 states away breakup. This song made me break down and cry during a reunion, I married him and we had our son. Thanks George. We had our son and promptly broke hearts again and it's been pain since then. I told our son it wasn't always like this. I still remember how this song made me feel. Need a kind reminder still to get thru this agony of how it is now. Not much can remind me these days. This does. A light in such dark days. George Michael can break my heart open every time.

My ex and I had the most perfectly matching tastes in everything, including George Michael and this song. He died 2 and a half years ago, and I think I do deserve to see his face again, but I never will. This song will get me until the day I die.
George wrote such strong lyrics at such a young age. His lyrics seemed to apply to his later life. It's weird but it's as if he wrote the lyrics before he lived the life and the life he led referred to the lyrics he wrote before. Spinning the wheel, kissing a fool, waiting for that day. The older album. He was a genius. I never hear his name mentioned in America. I rarely run into people who really know about him. I'm 68 and that's weird to me. God bless your soul GM.
Completely agree with you. Lately "America" hasn't been promoting songs and artists who have true depth. A brilliant soul, who was 'gifted' with knowledge only known by few.

Really good song. Didn't think much about George Michael until I heard kissing a fool, but never bought any of his CDs until I was at an indoor flea market and was looking at a pair of old school speakers. The seller wanted me to hear them and put a CD in the player and I heard waiting for that day, up loud and clear. Not only did I buy the speakers but also the CD and 3 more George Michael CDs. Love the song and I'm sure it was about some personal experience he had and written beautifully.

I loved Wham songs so I bought this album in 1992 when I was in my second year of high school, and I've been listening to it for a long time! On the school bus... in the library... I only memorized the first verse, but recently I started memorizing the rest of the song. And this is Korea!

as gifted as he was , so troubled was his ( hidden ) life.....to me he belongs to one of the greatest singers ever , for sure top 3 of all times. I still and always will mourn his sad and way too early death. The World has lost an unreal and rare Human ....hope só you are at peace now dear George

I always think of my high school sweetheart when I listen to this song. We we huge fans of Wham, & then Faith. Life led us our separate ways, and unfortunately she left this earth almost 20 years ago, but this song, this is what I listen to while I’m waiting for that day we are reunited on the other side.
