@ritchiec Count me in. My kids are sick and tired of me ... GM this, GM that. I don't care. Lol. His voice. His writing. His perfectionist involvement from A to Z in his productions. His dedication to his craft. His talent. He was on another planet. It hurts my heart that not enough of the younger generation knows of him.

This album is considered a masterpiece among music professionals. Alongside the covers, he created the album almost on his own. Produced arranged, wrote lyrics in the music. It is the album that made me a George Michael fan. I have mad respect for someone who can take something out of nothing and make it into a masterpiece

Hi, my friend, George did many, many covers of Stevie's. They performed twice as far as I know, once at the Apollo LOVE'S IN NEED OF LOVE TODAY, early on & at one of Stevie's concerts- LIVING FOR THE CITY! Both are magnificent, of course! Stevie was very impressed with George & I would say that they admired each other very much. When George passed, & Stevie was asked about George he said that GEORGE WAS God's GIFT TO THE WORLD! Pretty amazing words from a man like Stevie. It doesn't die there (check It out)! George captured many hearts, unfortunately, not for himself! Like many of us. ( myself included) All that you've said throughout your experience hearing George is right on point. Keep listening to George & you'll learn so much more about him. I half to say, that you'll be really hooked & enjoy his music & all that he was! ( your right there isn't anyone like George) Who crept so deeply into so many hearts! LOL, my Friend! Can't wait for your next! Let's speed you up a bit--TO THE CITY & One I Connick -- BROTHER CAN YOU SPARE A DIME but on Pavarotti & Friends, These will blow your socks off! 😁🥰😎🎤🎶🎶🎶

Have you heard George's version of Stevie's They Won't Go When I Go? It is so beautiful and powerful. There are no background singers, just George's voice being layered again and again. Just amazing.

@@teensymom1420 Hi, Yes I have however That song sounds very depressing, very, very sad. It kind of gives me the creeps. Not George's voice or the heart & soul he puts into It, that's always beautiful. As for that sort of subject, I'm more moved by THE GRAVE, again very, very sad, however, the story he tells really moves me. It makes me see & feel as If I'm watching & feeling the fear of this young man. I know he didn't write It but boy does It make an impact! I don't know, have you heard THE GRAVE & If so what do you think about It? Thanks, Teensy Mom, I hope we will talk again! 4-ever our George 🌹🕯😇🎶🎶🎶💖

I believe It's called GEORGE MICHAEL, THE LIFE. It was just released about 6 mo.-a year ago. It's set me back a bit. I don't know what to think of It! I recognize you from other reactions to George & believe I've talked to you about some of those reactions. Therefore, I felt I could ask you about It or If you've seen It. BK LOL, my friend 🤗💞

He was inducted unfortunately after his passing. Is tremendous struggle with depression and battles with record companies as well as deaths and his family forced him to take a few pauses and his career. If it weren't for that, he may very well have been the greatest artist, surpassing Michael Jackson and other big stars.

So deserved and way overdue he is being inducted in to the hall of fame this year. He racked up the most votes for a solo artist in the history of the rock and roll hall of fame. That tells you how much he truly is Loved all over the world. Once he backed out of the America in thhe early 90's, he fell off the US market. The US just did not get an opportunity to hear what followed Faith, and what did, was beyond phenomenal. All his albums went to number one in the uk and many other parts of the world. All I can say is that America really missed out on a lot of fantastic and beautiful music.

@rosamiller8687 - you are so right. I believe George felt he needed to retreat from the intensity of his fame in America. He withdrew somewhat, like you say. You’re right that in the UK, Europe and Australia, as well as other parts of the world, he remained a very big star and never went away as he appeared to do in the US.

I'm revisiting your reaction because I love this song so much. Stevie Wonder was absolutely one of George's idols. Check out George's Freedom documentary and you will see Stevie featured there. They did two duets together which were epic. George often said that he felt that the range in which Stevie sang was perfectly suited to his voice and therefore covered many of Stevie's songs. We won't see an artist like George again. He was the full package. Singer, songwriter, producer and just as important, a quiet humble philanthropist. He gave a good part of his Is fortune away to the needy. I love and respect this artist so much.
