A fine video, thanks. Good shots of some of the technical aspects of navigating the rapids, and a few nice pictures of life in camp. You gave an interesting take on what it was like to float the George.

Doing a trip on the George this summer and also on the Kogaluk, we’re basically doing one of your Kogaluk trips but starting at the bottom of Smallwood Resevoir and down the George. We’re going upstream/overland east around 25km after the De Pas joins the George

Great videos really enjoyed watching. Just one thing I wish you were narrating some way and talking about the land and the river instead of the music. Cheers

Great video, what has your starting dates been for your trips on the DePas/George? We are thinking about a 2020 trip and are thinking about a mid July start. Thanks

Hi Darrell, We've been down the De Pas and parts of the George several times. We usually start in early to mid July, so your timing sounds good. If you end your trip on the George after the 3rd week of August or so, you're more likely to run into bad weather Take care, Al.

Thanks, we are working on some logistics. In the past have you flown your canoes back to Schefferville or shipped them back to Montreal?
@vtal1

@@darrellcooling7670 We've shipped them back to Montreal. Usually get them around Thanksgiving.

We are figuring out cost of shipping back( and expense of going to Montreal from Halifax to pick them up) vs taking them back to Schefferville with us. Might be picking your brain for more info as we get along with our planning.

@@darrellcooling7670 Good luck with figuring things out. One year - when we traveled from Kuujjuarapik on the Hudson Bay coast to Kuujjuaq - one of our group stayed in Kuujjuaq for a few days and managed to find a flight "deadheading" back to Montreal for a reasonable price. You probably can't count on it though. I'll be curious to learn what you learn in terms of logistics. Feel free to ask more questions. You can email me directly if you like. My email is on my website above.
