he always was the most important character. the fans are just too dumb to notice. so they get angry at D and D because of their own lack of thinking ability.
@@enhanced6892 Arranging the deaths of thousands of innocent people plus ruining the lives of people with a better claim to the crown even though they risked their lives trying to protect Bran may make Bran important, but not in a good way.
@@enhanced6892 So you're happy with evil Bran the mass murdering king? If so then at least you are being honest about it. Though take away season 8 where he becomes that and he reverts to being among the most useless. EDIT: Correction a mass murdering Bran is still useless to most people-just not to Bran helping himself.
It could also backfire as people are so disappointed that they abandon the franchise. Show fans (especially those who watch it in a bar for reaction videos) disappeared faster than I thought. Because these fans only exist as long as the hype. Book fans however still talk about it, decades after the first book was published. You can only go so far after destroying the whole show with your lazy writing
Alexei Rayu did the joke go over your head? I said confirmed bran is 90% of the POV character because George can’t finish the book and said bran is the hardest to write.
I truly believe he has winds of winter complete and he’s patient enough to wait until the tv show has completed. I personally am thankful if this is the case because I think the majority of the game of thrones community will enjoy the game of thrones story more on screen since HBO does such a great job in telling the story and making the character feel like they’re there.
Dude imagine living this guy’s life, he’s a passionate storyteller talking about his story in front of other people that are also massive fans of his story. To be in a room full of people that share the same love for story, but not just any story, YOUR story, that must be a wet dream for any storyteller or writer.
We have to protect this man at all costs, he's the Tolkien of our generation. How lucky are we to be able to see his fantasy and legacy unfolds during our lifetime?
@@HassanKhan-sr2tq Jorah wasn't all that witty to begin with.. i see him more of a creepy old guy with the hots for a 13 year old girl most of the time (at least in the books)
D & D did that. HBO was willing to give them money for full 10 episodes for season 7 and 8 but the writers refused because they were bored with GoT and wanted to rush to work on Star Wars
Is it any coincidence that Season 5 is the definitive moment where the show started to tank? Also because Dumb and Dumber ran out of source material, like the bully who isn't allowed to copy the smart kid's homework aymore?
Had to give S6 some book material They didn't really know what to do after adapting ASOS, S5 is a mess, S6 has its moments, S7 starts to show major cracks, and well S8 is just bad
@@Eisenbison they had 2 books left when S5 came out, they just adapted them together and changed them up a lot (Granted they would've had to write out Tyrion, Dany, and Jon as well as Bran for S5 to just adapt AFWC and then for ADWD in S6 the KL plot wouldn't exist nor would there be Sansa or any of the Riverlands stuff from S5) And there isn't a Red Wedding in the middle of the books like in ASOS to just split the stories accross 2 seasons
If you're going to write fiction you have to be in the minds of your characters, and the mind of a person is largely influenced by their physiology and brain development. That is vitally important to write well.
@@villainova8941 More like the Dinosaur that eats the raptors. Funny that your analogy quite accuratly matches how much time it takes for both events to happen (Rip goat and new book)
That's interesting because Bran is one of my favorite pov characters to read. He's got such a naivety and innocence to him with such high hopes of adventure and knighthood, and really gets excited more than ever when he talks about that kind of stuff like any other 8 year old boy would. But much like all of these characters, he's got the tragedy of realizing that he can't become that anymore. He makes the most with what he's got now, and even though it wasn't what he wanted originally, it's definitely cool and interesting to see him become enthralled in this magical world.
Honestly, he was my least favorite lol. It boiled down to him complaining about not being able to walk/run and having Hodor carry him. He had a magical dream, went north of the wall, and met the magical guy. And that's the sum of his entire storyline 😂 oh and he warged into Hodor
I don't know about the hardest, but the funniest had to be definitely Cersei. Imagine Martin, making us believe she was an intelligent villain, an actual mastermind, daughter of his father, just write her chapter like "nope, she's just super-duper crazy"
Everything is a copy of the real world, the map, the basic of the stories, damn even the names are stolen and twisted abit before implemented into the story. Not sure if imagination is the right word here...
Bran is one of my favorite POVs. I like the character of Meera and some really remarkable things happen in his chapters, like the part where they hide inside a tower in The Gift and hear Jon passing by, the northen stranger in the cave and the Knight of the Laughing Tree story.
He created a world . Not just books but a language, a history, races, characters, a rich world that we can now enjoy and live in thru the books . Thank you mr Martin
I think tyrion lannister resembles George. After all tyrion is the one who interact with everyone and goes everywhere. Most importantly he is a good at judging people. Which make him the main character of the series.
@@scottystcloud7086 Because he is quietly admitting he arranged the burning of King's Landing and the deaths of thousands of innocent people. Plus ruining Jon and Dany's lives after they had risked theirs to help protect his.
I feel for him.. I mean the reason Ned Stark's death, the red wedding or Hodor reveal etc were heart wrenching yet totally believable and made for excellent story telling were not because they were shocking.. That was the tip of the iceberg.. It was because we genuinely cared for these characters and this path although horrific and sad made sense. The harmony between the story and characters makes the plot work. It's poetry in motion. In season 8, it was the equivalent of making the most delicious chocolate cake batter and putting it in the oven for 10s and serving it to the people.. it needed time d&d.. it needed time to bake.. you had everything else.. you had 7 good seasons (4 actually great, other 3 were between ok and good) and you rush past the ending.. wasted potential
I really love when Bran tells Meera and Jojen about the gift. "This is the Gift. The New Gift, and north of that Brandon's Gift." Maester Luwin had taught him the history. "Brandon the Builder gave all the land south of the Wall to the black brothers, to a distance of twenty-five leagues. For their . . . for their sustenance and support." He was proud that he still remembered that part. "
"Too much magic can overwhelm a fantasy." Totally agree, that's why I stayed away from the genre until GoT. I thought he struck the balance perfectly minus the reviving of characters.
No wonder the Tyrion chapters are so good. Although George is a genius writer I always find Bran chapters less captivating than the chapters of the other characters.
Wow! I didn't knew bran was hardest to write. I guess that's why he's my fav character bc I relate to him in a lot of ways and his povs are literally the best written i swear
My fave characters from the tv series are Ser Davos and Bran. I think Bran's journey is very underrated among the fans because he has little contribution to the main stories that happened around major characters like Dany and Jon. But i believe he is the key to defeat the antagonist in the end. I never read the book though. Plan to buy them next month to see how Bran is written in it.
Don't consider myself a writer, however when I started being the dungeon master in tabletop rpg games I quickly fell in love with writing stories. Low magic settings are by far imo the best and most rich. I try to give a low magic setting to my campaigns but saddens me that all the players I come across are more fond of high fantasy settings. Low fantasy demands a more mature audience and it's strange that one almost can't find that sense of maturity in rpg gamers even though most are already over 30 years old. Some people even criticise DMs in pushing the low magic setting down their throats, when it's them that simply don't have the maturity to immerse themselves in a more realistic world.
tranglomango I wish we lived in the same city. I live in a small town and it's hard enough finding a D&D session to begin with, yet alone one with a DM interested in a more realistic world.
This man is a genius. Almost feel sorry for d&d to try and capture his chaotical world in a neat tv series.... d&d could have done better, but i mean, they could've failed a lot better.
The last season was terrible. Just terrible. I dont think they took more than an day for the whole story of the season and they destroyed every character. Cant feel sorry for that amount of ignorance.
some thinks that Bran is the key to the whole plot, and that he is the one which made the Mad King mad and that he is the night king. Maybe that is why it is so hard for him to write his chapters, because there is a lot of the plot evolving around Bran.
I mean.... the last book is called dreams of spring. Oh, and very interestingly, the first chapter proper of the series has bran surviving the “kingslayer” trying to kill him
i would not be surprised if its the same ending grrm constantly likes to not go with the norm danny or jon becoming the king/queen for example is cliche as hell and something you'd see in your average fantasy hero story not GOT,bran becoming king is totally in his wheelhouse it would obviously be way more developed in the books
@@cptmactavish3310 Yep but iirc it was Bran who called himself that way to let us know, the readers, that's how he felt. It was one of the saddest moments of Bran. D&D used it to call that way to a fucking king. It's ridiculous...
Um...you do realize that Game of Thrones is literally the most popular show in the world right? If that's not enough promotion for his books, I don't know what is. I legit don't think he can get more recognition. The recognition of the entire world is kind of the limit.
@@devoutrelic1228uhm have you read his books? The tv series are well known, but his books isn't. Most people think its called Game of Thrones but t's called A Song of Ice and Fire.
I think Bran hardest character to George because he know Bran will be the king in the end that's why take a lot of his time to write this character. George want Bran to be special
He is already special. He is the key to defeat the others. But yes, i think that way too. George wants to make Bran the perfect king, and is hard to begin with being Bran a child.
At least this franchise has a chance of being finished. One of my favorite stories will never get an ending and even if it does it won't be from the creator. RIP Kentaro Muira.
Wim Diddy were dance and dragons part one and two released separately ? And also with storm of swords ? Or were the parts one and two published at the same time
CallmeJochem so why split them in two? Were they going to be too big, even bigger than clash of kings? It would have made more sense from a marketing point of view to release parts one and two at different points
Now this is a man with much weight in his industry. What I like about his world is that it is so wide and well developed. His characters are well rounded and his writing deals with heavy issues.
hbo show runners which character is the hardest to write.....bran, dany, jon, aariya, sansa, cerci, gendry, jaime, tyrion, we dont know what to do with any of them.......
