Due to the time between the books it may be in his best interest to finish them and have them released post mortem. Especially if he feels they won't live up to the hype.
Most of it is inspiration of British history. The 7 kingdoms of medieval Britain, Hadrian’s wall, houses Lancaster Vs York, the map of Westeros is the British isles jumbled.
I have a theory that he has already finished the books. He saw the reception of the final season and doesn’t want to go through that with his books. So they be released after his death.
It takes my man 5 months to sign an autograph how's he gonna do that.....finish Winds please man!!! I ain't even asking for Dream of Spring at this point lol
I'm starting to think that we're going to end up with an unfinished series when he dies and we end up with a version released by his publishers that is later ret-conned by an original manuscript that his children uncover 30 years from now.
He probably has nothing written. They should have put the money in a trust and told him he could get it once he made the framework for the whole thing.
We’re all pretending he’s not in his 70s, desperately overweight, and creatively lazy now that he’s finally getting attention from girls at comicon. The guy will belong to the seven and no one has any clue where his story is heading to even take over.
@@subratanandy2142 we have more chance of him working on dunk and eggs. He sold the rights to HBO and it's in production now. They are shorter and the end is already written. TWOW & ADOS will never happen
Lool asoiaf will never be finished. Maybe when grrm dies they will get enough material from his notes to end it but he will not do it. Last book came out more than 10 years ago and he said many times that he was "nearly done" so there is probably enough to cobble a good final book, that is provided Dumb and Dumber are kept away from it
It’s been what 20 plus years to finish one book?? I swear if it wasn’t for HBO, his publishers would’ve dropped his ass for not finishing and continuing asking for extensions. But, speaking of the debacle of HBO, if and when the last book comes out. I will not buy it. Not because of HBO, but because his lazy ass not finishing it and allowing a network to come up with their own ending that he agreed to, because he is lazy. 😂
Jesus he still has two books to release to finish the Song of Ice and Fire and hes in his mid 70s I doubt he's going to finish the two books before he passes away let alone starting a whole new prequel series
Bro's been cooking for 13 years. There's no water left and the pot has melted. He's clearly not writing WoW and if he would just say that, he wouldn't need to get annoyed of people asking about it.
At least man is realistic. He says he has no plan to write those stories. 😂he know he won’t be able to write those stories. PS. There is a possibilities those stories will come out in book 6+7 btw
This guy knows he's never going to finish it and at this point even if he did no one would care the show ended badly 5 years ago its well past cultural relevancy
At this point it's a running gag asking george to do something else Or taking a bit of his time, hilarious. But my god... I would never read those books till that one is finally released. I bet the others will soon follow.... Hopefully.
LOL he created the story book or the basis for the tv series & spin offs or whatever it ends when & how he wants...... what anyone making comments says doesn't matter your "endings" or opinions don't matter & mean nothing. Why do fools put music to everything this isn't a music video it's suppose to be a clip of an interview but you can't hear much over the bloody pointless annoying music.
GRRM has the creativity to rival many of the best writers in history but none of the work ethic. It seems he has no loyalty to his readers, only to his own desires. It's why House of the Dragon was written and published and adapted in the timeframe It's taken him to still not be finished with Winds of Winter.
He's written 1200 pages for WoW in 13 years. That isn't much slower than Tolkien's pace for LOTR (1200 pages in a decade). Especially considering he has a lot of other obligations (like these interviews).
Maybe if he wasn't going to conventions to sit on stage answering bonkers fan questions about potential prequels, he'd have had time to actually finish the main books?
Lyanna and Rhaegar is the real deal in the books too. The foreshadowing and groundwork is all laid out. The evidence is there for an astute reader. I've read the existing books 5 x each. Every time I read it I find more points. I could write you an essay about it but just check out in deep geek. He has hit 95% of the info I would present to you. I didn't know for sure til my third read through. Read it knowing r+l=j and all of it becomes very clear. Plus Kings guards don't swear vows to bastards.
@@ambermarshall2922If I could ask him one question it would actually be did Rehygar actually love Layana or did he just see her as a means to an end for the prophecy.
