@@sanik4725 really? Hamilton is 36. Russell has 13 years on him. If you really think Hamilton will still be the number one driver in his mid-40’s you’re mad. This is succession planning. Lewis will lead until he gets that 8th world title and at most for the 2022 and 2023 seasons then it’ll be George’s team from 2024 onwards.

Mostly because the dominating drivers have had something in their character. With Vettel it was the finger, Hamilton was passive-aggressive. If Russel comes to dominate like that, I will celebrate every single victory for him. He is such a down-to-earth, likable and mature person, how can anyone hate him?

We will see how he will behave when he finished some podiums. Overall, I disagree. Some drivers deserve to be hated, because of their behaviour, but I personally think F1 fans will not hate him nor Max or Lando. This is a new generation and they made all things right so far. That is what F1 needs, not Ego-Hamiltons, Strange Schumis or Vettels (Vettel has changed and is now almost the most loved driver of the fans)

The whole situation and relationship with Russel at Merc was like having a kid in the backseat on a long journey asking "are we there yet? are we there yet?" and it was getting quite annoying especially with the whole british media lobbying and fans spamming GEEEOOOORGE under every social media post, so I'm quite relieved that this whole spam and anticipation will be gone.

I watched Hamilton's first F1 race 14 years ago :D I was devastated he did not win in his rookie year. That would have been something.
