I love how George doesn’t let his stutter get in the way of interviews, celebration, this video. You can hear his stutter a lot in this video, but he just gets through it and doesn’t make a fuss over it. That’s one of my favorite things about him.

As a Dodger’s fan I hate to say this, but as a person with a stutter essentially just like his, Id love to say this, George Springer is one of my heroes. Listening to him talk, i hear my own voice. I love this guy so much.

Thanks for your comment. I'm a Cardinals fan, and I learned from Ray Lankford's career that when a player signs a professional contract, he belongs to Baseball. I didn't like Lankford much until I looked up one day and discovered he was a "five-and-ten man" - then my attitude changed. He'd been with St. Louis long enough to be fully vested in the pension plan, and long enough to earn "no-trade" privileges. I pecked all that to say, George Springer belongs to Baseball. You don't have to apologize for admiring a talented individual who had many options yet chose to thrill us as a Big Leaguer.

I'm just amazed at how A-Rod conducts an interview. If there are any cue cards, I missed them. He just gets guys to open up and let's them talk. I know George Springer is a major talent, became familiar with him two years ago, but I didn't know he battles stuttering. You could pick it up in the interview, and you could hear him self-correct like the pro he is. What a tremendous role model he is for those plagued with the impairment. A-Rod's schtick will be, "One last question.... " Did you see how he directed one of his cameramen to give us a better view? Do you see how he addresses the camera and seems like he's talking directly to us? The guy's a natural. And so is Springer. Baseball is in good hands....
