George is one of my favorite interviewers. Always succeeds in naturally bringing out the character in his guests as opposed to smothering them or using bad format.
Broken Wave This may be true, I'm sure he does. I just can picture in my head every late night show type of appearance (which I now realize is not the same as an interview) Conan, Ferguson etc- he's normally looking down the whole time and making dry one liners. Not that I'm complaining!
both of the awesome people in this awesome hilarious and entertaining video are GREEK. we non-GREEK know there are awesome people other than whatever our 'race' is. TY!
You can see Zach actually have respect for this interviewer. Well researched interview. I'm not a Strombo fan, didn't even know that guy before the PK Subban Interview.
Best part about his humor is that he knows how dumb his jokes are and tells them anyways. "My father is Tim Horton" the joke is kind of a low hanging fruit but he goes for it anyways and then shakes his head after because he knows it's a stupid joke. It's funny anyways because he tells it with an immediate irony and then breaks the character right away.
This is probs the best mainstream tv interviewer right now, but there have been greats which pull things out of criminals , make them trip up and grab honesty from a situation. These are some of the best. They don't really get noticed that often though. Latin american, ,east asian and southern europeans are some of the top ones.
I love this show and I love this setup of the set. Just 2 people talking, no 2d side ways weird facing the audience but looking at each other in a 45 degree angle way. This show gets deep and I love it. I'm tired of fickle shows, I want to see what's behind some of the funniest and charismatic people. I think George does a great job of creating an honest discussion. Love it, love it, love it.
as far as George goes, he started at MuchMusic (in TV) and the atmostphere there was very different than network tv, so once he moved over to CBC, he was already well known. I think he's the best news show around, and an excellent interviewer, personally.
before I watch the whole video, I'm going to predict that this is going to be the most real Zach is going to be on a TV interview. Mainly because George is the only "real" late night host who really gets to know his guests.
I never thought of him as being relevant at the time and now it's weird listening to his stand up knowing that he was about to become what he clearly didn't wanna be. It makes it hard to enjoy.
How cool is it that we have a Stroumboulopoulos and Galifianakis now? Greeks used to have to change our names. Jennifer Aniston's real name is Anistonopolous. But now it's fairly normal. Until recently, all we had is Stephanopoulos and Nia Vardalos.
you probably own an I-phone,I saw how Americans where waiting for I-phone 5 out of the stores hours before they open. I am ok with a sony ericsson w810i... is the best phone I have ever used! :P'
