To be sure the situation at the US border is no picknick today, but Trump made cruelty official US policy. Every Muslim in the US or who wanted to travel to the US (and had been cleared). Everybody who died or lost someone because Trump declared Covid is not a thing. Everybody who lost their job or income due to Trump's disastrous economic policies (however I give him that he did some good stuff too to deal with the economic shock of Covid, but this is about his term as a whole). And I'm not even going into the foreign policy fallout (Kurds, Afghanistan, Ukraine) or his criminal actions after the election or the consequences of his supreme court picks or the consequences of his climate change denialism, all of that is extra.
