"Georgia on my mind" was written in 1930 by Stuart Gorrell and Hoagy Carmichael. And Hoagy Carmichael recorded the 1st version of this song in 1930. Ray Charles' version is a cover version.

Mario is a family friend of my husband's. I had no idea he had such a voice when he asked to sing a song at our wedding. I said sure, thinking it would turn into crappy karaoke. WOW was I wrong! Best song of the night.

His voice captured me since my first listening to this song. I went on listening to all I could find of him. In the video it is heartwarming to see how much he is enjoying the song, how he opens to it while it goes on. Great Mario, I hope he will find more and more authors and partners to widen its repertory.

This is one of those songs that we've all heard dozens of times, it's been well sung and many great and memorable performances. But the passion and power behind this arrangement makes it stand out from the rest. Excellent musicians and excellent arrangement to compliment Mario's unique range.

No hay un cover actual mejor. La composición es impecable con esos cambios constantes y la progresión. La voz es muy emotiva y genialmente interpretada. Los músicos hacen un gran trabajo y en la grabación (o mezcla) hay mucha dinámica que le da mucha emoción y un aire muy de película. No sé si está todo grabado en directo, diría que no aunque no lo sé. Igualmente me ha encantado y ahora es mi segunda versión preferida después de la de Ray Charles. Sería genial poder ver y oír esto in situ. Enhorabuena por tan buen trabajo.

I love this rendition. What a great. My two daughters were in band/marching band from middle school thru college.... Purcussion and trombone. My other daughter was in chorus from middle school thru high school. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of everyone's performance

I have never been so amazed by such wonderful talent. Each and everyone included in this session sound like pure angels. Words can’t describe just how beautiful and articulated this song has been presented. I believe Ray Charles would had been so proud to hear this and how wonderful that his family can be blessed by such talented group caring on their father’s legacy. Never heard anyone sing this song better! What amazing young man with such a wonderful talent. This guy is simply amazing!!!!
