I get mixed feelings watching these videos. On the one hand it must be awful to be trapped in these areas with all the poverty, crime and drugs etc. But on the other hand I think can't some of the residents organise a group to clean up and make it a bit more liveable?
What a bunch of friendly, articulate and intelligent people. Looks like safe neighborhoods to move in and raise a family. Look how clean the streets are.
I like your realistic videos. I'm from Brazil and before watching your videos I thought that the USA had no flaws, because Brazilians go there and show only perfection! Grettings from Brazil! 🇧🇷 👍
Oi ! Eu moro em NY 20 anos. Procura lá Brownsville, East New York, South Bronx (Castle Hill, Hunts Point).
@@garotaexplora haven't You see breaking bad? Why Walter White began to do and sell drugs? Because he became ill with cancér and the secure didn't cover, you see, a series that show that American dream is not real
As of the 2020 census, Columbus is now the second largest city in GA by population. It is also the second largest city, by landmass, in the continental US, after Jax, FL.
I’m from NYC and stayed in Augusta for a month. Even the hoods looked nice to me. Not a lot of traffic, trees, could go for relaxing walks even in the hood, no fighting for parking spots, yards. Sign me up. Lol
Within the city limits of Atlanta most of Atlanta looks rundown outside of Buckhead and a few east Atlanta gentrified neighborhoods. Atlanta standing by itself would look like crap if it wasn't for the thousands of surrounding suburban towns.
I'm from Augusta and lived in Atlanta for a while, the one thing I remember about both cities is the fact that you didnt have to drive far to see these areas sadly.
Unable to repair their properties and living the feral life style but most seem to have some decent motors parked outside their sheds , makes you wonder 🤣
I had a thirty plus year old Jeep Wrangler. It was simple under the hood and easy to maintain, troubleshoot and repair. These days can no longer do that with vehicles. Too many electronics and confusion. Just buy a new vehicle.
Augusta, Macon and Columbus GA became the biggest cities by population after ATL after their counties were annexed into the city limits. Savannah would be #2 if it annexed the county. This is why people assume Savannah is smaller than these cities.
Savannah will pass Augusta in metro population, and you're right, Savannah would be much larger than the other three if it consolidated. Chatham County has 300,000 people. Augusta was 44,000 people when it consolidated. Barely bigger than Valdosta and Rome at that time, lol. There's also a good chance that Hilton Head and Hinesville become apart of the Savannah MSA. That's the major growth area in GA right now outside of Atlanta. The census shows that Savannah gained over 15K in its metro last year and Augusta 2K.
@Red Yes AUG is 2nd according to the stats. Have family all through there, remember I went there back in 04 for family reunion @ May park and I lived there around 2010/11. Cool city, just needs more to do.
@@1084cdw “Augusta was 44,000” Mann sdfu 🤣 That was then. We talkin bout now and not at a time when we both weren’t here to witness. The fact of the matter is that Augusta is a bigger city, has a bigger metro and a bigger downtown. Yes, Chatham county(296,00) is bigger than Richmond county(206,000) but we still have North Augusta/SC (Aiken county) 170,00 and West Augusta/Martinez (Columbia County) 160,000 part of Augusta metro while everything around “Chatham county” population is below 60,000 🤣🤣.
Despite Columbus and Augusta being the next "largest cities" after Atlanta....Downtown Savannah, Downtown Macon, and Downtown Athens have more clubs, lounges, bars, and restaurants than Downtown Columbus and Downtown Augusta.💀 Augusta's Downtown is actually the worst of Georgia's "big" cities. Even Downtown Columbus' feels more "alive"
just the metro not the county. All of Savannah metro county is still small population. If Savannah included bluffton and ridgeland and Hilton head South Carolina we would be bigger but Augusta included South Carolina state line but Savannah don’t. Way more jobs than Augusta because we got the ports and truck driving.
@@rasheenjackson1124If Savannah was to add Hilton Head metro Augusta would still be bigger by thousands of ppl. Savannah only have a larger county (296,000) but like you said everything around Savannah Is small. Literally like 70,000 or lower. i520 in Augusta will literally take you from Martinez/West Augusta (Columbia county:160,00) to Augusta (RichmondCo:206,000) and to North Augusta,SC (AikenCo 170,000) within 25 mins while y’all drivin 40mins to Hilton head. Augusta city, metro & downtown is BIGGER so your comment is IRRELEVANT.
I’m glad to see Augusta’s true face being exposed. People generally think about silver-haired white men playing golf. You drove right past a house that we helped repair & paint 40 years ago, no charge. Wealthy people need to feel this. They’ll never change otherwise. Breaks my heart, CB, and thanks for showing this to us.
@@roblebowski6770 What's pitiful is that you're so limited by emotions and feels that rational thought is not an option for you. Simply look at the crime, poverty, std and IQ rates along with money paid by certain groups for taxes and you can decide what truly is a strength. Cliffs it's not people with horrid decision making tendencies.
Columbus is only bigger by a few ppl that live in the city limits but Augusta metro is twice bigger than Columbus. Augusta has a bigger downtown area, better restaurants and more stuff to do here in general sweetheart. Even Macon downtown look better than y’all’s so chill pooh 🤣
@Red I'm not from Columbus, but I follow GA cities closely. Actually, Columbus' downtown is much more exciting than Augusta's. They have whitewater rafting, and it's more activity since CSU moved part of their campus downtown. The Riverwalk in Columbus also shames Augusta's. Augusta has 4 taller buildings, but many people call your city "Disgusta." Let's not act like it's paradise. Columbus looks much better than Augusta. Better restaurants? Both cities have subpar restaurants compared to their southern peers. Macon's downtown looks better than both cities, btw... Also, "twice bigger"...that's a comical phrase... sounds like a 2 yr old 😆!!!
@@1084cdw Hunney you not even from GA but defendin it if so 🤣 where you from? A small lil town in Alabama? Augusta is definitely not a wonderland. Never said it was. I’m only here statin the facts that Augusta city, downtown & the metro is bigger than Columbus & Savannah. Shit in reality Augusta metro is bigger than both COLUMBUS AND SAVANNAH COMBINED 🤣🤣 How dare you come at me w/ these smaller cities lmaooo. Augusta would be second behind ATLANTA that’s exactly why he made the video and named it the way it is named. Columbus downtown might look better but it’s not BIGGER & we also have a midtown area w/ Hospitals, Schools, Apartments and hotel. You should compare our medical district to Columbus downtown matter fact, it’s more fair 🤣
@Red Disgusta sucks. It's not bigger than Columbus and Savannah combined, stop the cap. No, I'm from Marietta, I'm not biased but you are in your feelings because Columbus is the 2nd largest city, the video states GA's two largest cities and that's Atlanta and Columbus...sorry, the truth hurts but you're 3rd...
