I was raised around guns as a child. My father took me out to shoot them, we went hunting, and we always knew where they were when they were not being used. We also knew where they were if we needed to defend our home or family. He taught me that they were a tool, just like a screw driver, or a steak knife. a gun was to be used to provide food for your family, protect your home, and protect your family. The current mind set of most people seems to be that guns are a power that you can use over others to make them think a certain way or act the way you want. Parents need to take a more active role in parenting their children.

(Important context: I’m a licensed and nationally certified pharmacy technician with knowledge of medication management and about 10 years of experience including pediatrics) My cousin’s daughter was given Paxil by her pediatrician after an annual appointment. I know this child VERY well, she is not depressed nor does she have a history of emotional/psychological issues. She had had a stressful day at school that day and was sad over a breakup. She was 13 years old. The doctor decided she needed the medication to deal with her “depression” and “anxiety” after not seeing her at all for over a year. She confided in me that she felt weird on the meds and she felt worse. Concerned she nor her mom were fully informed on the possible black box warning; I went to her mom and told her what her daughter said. She immediately confirmed that she was NOT in the room when they questioned her daughter on her mental health and actually unsure if her daughter needed the medication and felt pressured by the doctor to give it to her. She wanted to get her off of them because she could tell it wasn’t her kid anymore (sleeping a lot and distancing her self from family/friends). I told her I would help her ween her daughter off the meds. She was totally unaware of the dangers of these drugs on young teens. The doctor and the pharmacy who dispensed the meds dropped the ball big time. Happy to report my little cousin is now 15 and is a well adjusted, normal kid who has plenty of friends and does well in school. She’s a good kid and I couldn’t be prouder of the person she is. So compassionate and loving to everyone around her. Pay attention to your kids and the kids you love in your life. Communicate with them and know what’s going on in their life. Get help if you’re in over your head. Lots of love!

I took a chance and took a freezer bag full of bottles of big pharm products away and locked my sis in the house with me for a few days until she detoxed....she spent months going between arrests for attacks and fits of rage on cops/old people/everybody or drooling comatose on the couch. I knew it could go bad but it was already real bad for a long time so I did what I did and that was 20 years ago and she was ok and could function in life as a normal person ever since. The goal is for them to have us all on at least 3 meds and everyone on at least one psych/anxiety med so then that puts you on the no pew pew list and keeps you sedated. They are overdiagnosing everthing and poisoning everyone for profit and control. I won't take anything but aspirin. I'm old. I'm fat. I sit all day. I have been fat my whole life. I eat like a teenage boy. I'M FINE. I'm the only one of my peers that is "ok" and functioning and getting around and thinking clear and "happy" and "healthy". I knew it would go that way watching what happened to everyone and swore I would do this experiment. I'll just go ahead and be sick, die and be dead before I play their game. #winning

I divorced my wife and got the kids most weekends. She was very secretive about everything, so I didn't hear about the Ritalin until it was too late. My eldest, apparently, was seen staring out the window instead of completing the 100th sheet of single and double-digit addition problems the teacher handed out. This was 5th grade. Problem is, I had taught him addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as fractions, decimals, some geometry, and exponents before he turned 3. We had been working on algebra and trigonometry when the divorce kicked in. Unbelievable, the number of students at that school who were medicated. Almost as if it was some sort of foreign program to undermine America's youth.

Depression drugs can have such huge effects, even for tiny actual chemical differences in the drugs. My daughter has some serious problems and was given a certain drug. It made her cry out of nowhere. We stopped it immediately and we got her a very similar but different one and that one actually worked well, with minimal side effects. Social media seems to launch these problems to the moon and there are so many different online groups now and some are so bad for kids, leading them into much worse life choices and ideas.

Doctors are human and have a level of power that the rest of society isn’t afforded. Power corrupts. I believe that there’s a lot of doctors that don’t want to help their patients at all. They want to turn them into lifelong patients. It’s quite gross honestly. But I’m surprised that her primary care doctor prescribed her that medication. If she thought she needed a medication like that then she should’ve referred her to a psychiatrist and psychologist. Really a psychologist and let the psychologist determine if the daughter actually needs a serious medication like that. Then go to a psychiatrist to get it. But I guess she wanted all the money for herself. I mean psychiatrist are corrupt af too. It’s difficult to find one that actually has your best interest at heart instead of just being able to bill your insurance.

I remember a case where a young teen offed his grandparents and he was on a medication that specifically said exactly that. That minors should not be on the medication. Obviously there are lots of contributing factors to what causes this, but kids don’t need to be on such heavy medications that were created for adults with fully formed brains.
@Nikibaby74
@Nikibaby74 9 дней назад
It’s so tough because sometimes these medications DO work and save the lives of struggling kids and adults. The good side effects outweigh the bad 10 fold but then there are the cases, a small percentage, that can have horrible side effects and horrendous consequences. It’s hard to monitor millions of ppl. Just impossible really. We don’t have enough drs for that. It’s easy to just say take the drugs off the market or don’t give them to people of certain ages. Keep these kids off of social media 24/7 and letting news be available to them like it is, would make them happier and have less depression. That being said that’s easier said than done too. I know when I stay away from the news I am a waaaay happier person.

I know a Pediatric neuropsychologist who’s an expert in Pharmacology for Abnormal psychology. Literally the best breadth of knowledge one can have. She told me the facility she works at has a policy to prescribe. The only time they don’t is when the parents are against it. If parents are slightly open they’ll write a prescription for parents to TRY and see if they choose to or not. Basically leaving the door open. She said all evidence points to a correlation between violent minor offenders as well as school shootings, and psych meds. The best a parent can do is anything possible to not prescribe because coming off is risky, meds during puberty with changing hormones as you mention, etc she says IF meds are used, people should wait until after puberty and hopefully wait until the brain is fully developed. Sadly, she also told me that she’d never acknowledge that she told me this because she had a family to feed. She did mention that CBD is a great thing to try. About 50/50 chance of helping for ADHD, Autism Anxiety, depression etc but most of all she said if used properly and not for recreation, there’s no known harmful side effects

When we show up at the matches, it's always nice to see how all the older shooters respect him and treat him like an adult because of the way he behaves himself and follows all safety protocol. Never one single safety violation. They don't mess around at these events and they will disqualify you and send you home. He has lots of guns, but they are kept under my control and they only come out when we train our go to competition. He doesn't get free access to anything. They are all very spiritual acting people without any religion of their own and the trans ideology becomes a genuine religion weather they realize it or not. They worship it. And I don’t even mean to say that in a “nasty” way I Mean tbat in the most plain way possible even if I do think it is ultimately negative. It’s fascinating really. My teenager went to school with this kid years ago, recognized him immediately from the yearbook photo. She stayed home the last two days, I didn’t want her going until I’m sure we’re being told the truth. Most of us here (in Jackson county) feel that we’re not being told everything. I’m not talking about things they may not tell the public bc it could endanger an ongoing investigation, I’m talking about things we need to know for the safety of our kids. Idk, it’s a somber atmosphere and everyone is afraid. I’m angry bc this kid, AGAIN, was allowed to go back to school in the first place. I have a friend whose son, when he was about 6, was sent for a mandatory psych evaluation, the parents weren’t allowed to even be there, bc he essentially played “cops and robbers” with a classmate. No one in their right mind would’ve believed this little kid posed a threat, yet he was treated very differently from the kid who DID pose a threat. I don’t get what’s happening or why. As someone who was in a school that suffered through a shooting (my freshman year), the way schools function before/after the shooting is very interesting. Ours happened only a few weeks into school, after the kid came back from a suspension (pending psych eval, I believe). It was a Wednesday, and a late start, which meant things were a bit more loose. Everyone was in the midweek busyness, and a few balls got dropped. We were out for the remainder of the week, but came back the following Monday-a remarkable turnaround for such an event. Two of the victims came back that Monday too, which is kind of wild. Both classmates of mine. I attended driver’s ed with one of them, while she still was recovering from a shot to the arm. It certainly changes the energy of a school and community to go through something like that. They concluded that our shooter had made his decision to shoot up the school due to bullying and some mental health problems. He had written warning notes to a few friends, and had apparently planned targets (none of whom he managed to hurt).

I’m a senior in high school, when I was a freshman there was a threat against my school in there was a comment online of someone saying they were gonna “shoot up [my school]”. We were only told that the threat was even there until we were already at school at 10 and the threat had a specific time at noon. We were all given the option to leave. I ended up staying thinking it was probably nothing since I had an important test. Thankfully it was just a random kid who didn’t even go to the school and the police luckily got him. But I still remember that day, I was also not sure about leaving because to leave was to put yourself right where a shooter would be. Additionally had there been a shooter, we would’ve died, my schools shooter safety protocols are a joke, we literally are expected to just turn off the lights and pretend we’re not there. If there was actually a shooter breaking in my classroom, I’m throw whatever I can at em, cause pretending we’re not there ain’t doing anything but making it easier on the shooter. A little later in the year we had a kid actually did bring a gun in my sport class, I knew this kid and saw him that day, a couple of kids (not me) saw the gun in his sports bag, and told the coach who told the school officer, and thankfully got him before he could hurt anyone. But this was only prevented not cause of the schools policies but because some of my teammates saw the gun. I don’t like how woke schools are run,and I’m glad to almost be out of high school. Twice since I’ve been at my school there has been two times there could’ve been school shooting, and I’m not gonna lie I’m do have fear for the time we’re not lucky not just for me but my friends, my girlfriend, my sibling, and my teachers.
