As a Fijian I'm beginning to appreciate the Georgians and even sometimes I find myself eagerly anticipating our games against them. Do I sense a mini-rivalry forming? Either way, they play exciting rugby and we love exciting rugby too. Bula from Fiji and დიდი მადლობა
As Georgian mini rivalry would be great as it will bring both of our teams to a better level performance and all the way around the board .. nothing but love to you guys
Congratulations to Fiji on the win,not easy to go to Georgia and win.Georgia will be better off with the experience of playing Fiji thank you Fiji for coming all the way to play Georgia 😊
i think the rivalry between these 2 NH & SH teams would be beneficial for both teams. Maybe make it a shield like event. and every year one team hosts the other. Because I think both teams are eager to prove their worth to their tier 1 counterparts are equally matched as well.
From Georgian here, such a pleasure seeing so many supportive comments in the section, I am very happy that we managed to organise this game and had such a great team to rumble against, always pleasure watching the flyers, beautiful flair. Wish you all the best and hope to witness more such games in the future, Georgia has a very big potential, just lacks experience compared to the teams that are competing in top tiers, anyway, the last decade we saw a very big step forward for our boys. Thank you fiji!
Dakuwaqa to play against the ABs. He looked solid defensively and know's where to be at the right time. Kuruvoli needs to start. His passes are crisp and accurate.
Love the competitive nature and fair play spirits of the Georgia team and fans. The commentators also seemed to be having a ball of a time! Vinaka from 🇫🇯 🇫🇯
English speakers are the worst. As a Maori, I've grown up with them casually butchering my language. They don't care or make any effort. The younger generation do tho. But what's so funny is seeing TV commentators who routinely butcher the native language of this country, but will then make an effort when pronouncing another white language in french, but correctly pronouncing Paris. Ignorance and racism. Im Maori, so learnt english first. But Maori pick up languages far faster than european new zealanders because our vowels are similar to most other languages. English is a weird language. When I was at school my maori boarding school rugby team toured Argentina. We started learning spanish a month before going on a three week tour. That was more than enough time for us to be able to communicate just fine with anyone. With our broken spanish and their broken english, we were fine.
Overrated. They didn't look like much to be honest. You just fall into tropes. Their forward play has improved out of sight which has affected their brilliance. They score just as many from the forwards like that ugly try they scored here. And that last try was just thru the hands. I like seeing Fiji tighten up their game control but not at the detriment to their natural game. That wasn't winning rugby tho.
@@JaemanEdwards they're brilliant man. Much better at Sevens than the 15 aside game but their world cup was outstanding, robbed only by poor refereeing decisions. Discipline and fitness can always be improved but when they run with the ball at full flight it's glorious, a brand of rugby like no other and that's coming from a Kiwi, the greatest rugby nation on earth!
@@thedappercook That Fiji style is nothing compared to the All Blacks with regards to attacking rugby because the All Blacks do it right and with a cool head. So you're wrong. There is something way more glorious. You just keep blindly falling into tropes if it makes you happy
@@JaemanEdwards lol calm down bro. Never said it was anything like NZ rugby but the Fijian flair when it works is glorious. You do you brother. Enjoy the test match tonight. Up the ABs.
@@thedappercook Sweet as bro. This All Blacks side looks extremely beatable and quite different to what I would have selected. Razor has all the info so knows what he's doing I guess. But picking on form only is fraught with disaster. Lucky it's England at home. I hope Razor ain't another Fozzie and has pet players he selects no matter what anyone says. And you don't necessarily have to be a Crusaders player to be one of his pet selections.
@@NoName-hg6cc They aren't but they should be. It should happen in August time if it was all was set up right. That way you would know what's going on for the following February.
@@lordmax-wt9xc it's called personal choices in life and we all have one, those Fijians were asked and they choose the All blacks remember it's they employment as well just like anyone else
Georgia looked so dangerous during the first half, but then after the yellow card they were not playing well at all. Scrum half played really fast but then they can't finish off the attacking play. But looking forward to seeing them improve
Thanks for uploading. Great highlights too. Much better than the broadcasters who tend to show no more than one phase before a try is scored. And then thirty seconds of the conversion being kicked. Looked to be a pretty intense match. Was it played inTiblisi?
It's great to see tier 2 rugby sides getting regular gametime against one another, as well as games against tier 1 teams. in 2014, these sides would never have played each other, unless it was at a RWC
Ref, that tackle on Frank Lomani should have been a red card....WTH....but anyways a good win for Fiji. Congratulations Fiji a well deserved win....toso Viti toso.
Vinaka Boys! Vaele vinaka tale na skills. Botitu set tiko. Io na Qitoqito qo , ya sa tou saparaki saraga vei na timi ni All Blacks. Tovolei tale. Toso viti 🇫🇯
Tier 2 nations need to play each other more. They’re actually improving. If tier one doesn’t want to play them, fine. Tier 2 nations actually playing some really good rugby. Already Samoa has beaten Italy. They aren’t classified as tier one, but they should be with six nations involvement for years.
They need to bring former players to ref the game some ref really have no idea because many haven't played the game .but think that they are smart enough and know the just reading and studying the rules of the game...maybe let's play the game now than the review panel will go through the game and find all the mistakes that were miss..and the ones that were wrongly given .to decide the winner that's the only way to be fair remember it's not just a sporting issue it's also a business issue. Enough is enough this dubious calls fron clueless Refs..
What exactly did he get wrong? I thought he did a great job. Referees are exactly that- people who chose to study the laws of rugby and become professional referees rather than a career as a player. That’s why they are the best for the job, not just a random rugby pro! And no, changing results after games from a review sounds horrid. Refs are human and make mistakes in every sport, that’s just part of the game.
@@cosmostumpf4135 that's the problem too many theory not enough practical.hands on so you what players could have done better just look.at rugby league you got a Captains challenge and yes most time the were wrong the rugby refs thinks it stops with them ,,some refs have no on idea about scum collapsing
When Botitu was about to kick for goal, I think a conversion, one can see a ball boy or whoever, a Georgian, trying to distract his attention by shouting some remarks from the back.
Solid game for Fiji. I can see Georgia being a great team one day. Pity politics has killed another giant in the region 😔Glad they get to have a hit out against our ABs.
@@VT01 Georgia is a no pushover team. They have beaten the likes of Wales, Italy, Japan, Samoa, Tonga and Fiji before. Also most of them playing professionally in France. So it was expected that they will play quality rugby
I'm sorry, am I missing something? Why is Botitu our kicker after the stunning season Armstrong-Ravula had with the Drua? Or how about Kuruvoli kicking us to victory against the Wallabies at the RWC? Or how about the Drua's ice man Valetini? Caleb Muntz? no shade to Botitu, he obviously kicked well but I don't remember him being the first choice for kicker with so many other more obvious options in the squad 🤔
