The Rebbe actually prefaces his speaking in Ivrit by apologizing for speaking not in Yiddish because of "c'vode hatzibbur" respect for the audience who by and large do not understand Yiddish. He focuses on unity of Israel and to not speak ill of others, to look inside oneself and together from all segments of ahm yisrael will greet Moshiakh Tzidkeinu

@@BerlGlickman The Hebrew spoken by many Gerrer chasidim is not Ivrit. If you knew anything about Hebrew, you would know that many ultra-religious Jews speak Classical Hebrew. In fact, there have been great Torah scholars in the past, Rabbi Nosson Adler zt"l of Frankfurt as well as Rabbi Yaakov Emden zt"l, who spoke Leshon ha-Kodesh. Until this day, you can find scholars from Yeshivat Ben Porat Yosef and other yeshivot who speak not Ivrit but Leshon ha-Kodesh.
