Or your soul, emotions, or a myriad of other human properties. Can also be physical things, like being "stripped" off the ability to move, without losing organs.
I was really hoping one of the endings to Hearts of Stone would be playing Gwent for Olgierd's and Geralt's souls. There cpuld have even been completely different music and the board could have been all dark and shadowy. Like the music could have been Gaunter's theme and it speeds up if you're losing. And if you manage to make it to a third round the music gets super intense and as Geralt wins it transforms into Geralt's theme. So basically the main menu music.
that would be fun indeed , but as for me , i didnt play gwent AT ALL on my first 2 playthroughs , i didnt even know the rules so id never win and have to go back to saves and collect cards / learn how to play would be good if you can get choice to either to the puzzle or gwent though , with gaunter giving you a limit card ( could be some 15 power hero monster card ? ) if you win + olgierd being saved
Yep, the rest of rewards are not that crazy at that point of the game (especially the 5000 coins). It would at least have been interesting to play gwent with him even if the card wasn't that valuable
@@thepowerlies If you complete HoS, before you do the Battle of Kaer Morhen, his advice is useful... yet.... Personally i really like the Carapace of Lament: the +100 Stamina Saddle. Very cool to have for NG+, and it makes your horse almost tireless in BnW with that Stable-upgrade at Corvo Bianco.... though.... hehe, again a personal preferance; I 'swear' by that Werewolf-Decoction. Longer distances i use Fast-travel, medium to short, i just sprint. Especially when clearing the Map of markers, i really prefer to just leg-it. The Werewolf Decoction doesnt make you deplete stamina, so imo very handy. In NG+ the Carapace of Lament gives you an unfair advantage in the Horse Races though ^^ Probably the same for that 'drink that never depletes', combined with the Gourmet-talent?(1 chunk of food revitalizes for 20 mins? imho a must-have talent, especialyl if you start from scratch! Big money-saver!)
@@thegreenreaper6660 I also would add to Carapace that its actually kinda insane imo best you can get if you go death march new+ cause i learned few days ago it also fears nearby enemies even if you are not riding. at least every time i fight bandits or humans and my best buddy is nearby them he will fear them while in combat which have many times gave me upperhand. not sure if it should actually work that way but for me it does and not complaining lmao. Cause of that i once won a fist fight 1v2 on Blood and Wine area easily
@@joonavenalainen8672 Aye, it Crowd-controls a nearby-enemy, which is another overpowered feature. Imho if you intend to play NG+, take the Carapace on your primairy playthrough? Its too good to NOT have! Best saddle in the game, purely on stats. Kinda looks cool too, and that CC-feature is very useful! Especially when you know how to exploit it ^^
Be careful what you wish for ^^ " His smile fair as spring, as towards him he draws you His tongue sharp and silvery, as he implores you Your wishes he grants, as he swears to adore you Gold, silver, jewels - he lays riches before you Dues need be repaid, and he will come for you All to reclaim, no smile to console you He’ll snare you in bonds, eyes glowing’, a fire To gore and torment you, till the stars expire"
I don't think new cards would be a good reward for the end of the quest because it would ruin the rest of the rewards for those who aim to collect them all. But I guess new cosmetics like new card skins, boards or themes would be cool.
Have to agree on that. Despite Gaunter o'Dimm being a muster-card, giving 3 shadows at a meagre 2 points each, imo Gaunter's card should be a buff-card, buffing units on that rank atleast. and a bít higher points. Imho 8 points, and a Golden Edge, like the Kayran from the Monsterdeck? 8 or 10 points +a buff-ability? Gaunter o Dimm cant really be killed, so he should always remain on the table, and as he is an incredibly (thé most?) powerful individual, that makes clever pacts; he búffs the units besides him? Would make sense imo. Or, (theorycrafting here), Since Gaunter has the ability to stop time, give his main-card a unique ability: You can put him on the table, summon the 3 shadows...but: He can stop time, so it allows you to pull 1 card from your deck, ánd put an additional card on the table? Its overpowered perhaps yes, but.. lets be honest, Gaunter o'Dimm IS Overpowered! (Hell. he'll just clap his hands and spoon the eyes out of that Unseen Elder if he wanted to?)
