German Air Force mid-air refuelling demo RIAT ’23

A really cool inflight refuelling demo of the German Air Force (Luftwaffe) A400M and Panavia Tornado, and Tornado-to-Tornado refuelling demo too.
These aircraft arrived at RAF Fairford in the morning performed this validation of the demo in the afternoon. Pretty cool to see this at a UK air show.
Shot on Wednesday 12th July on the first day of RIAT 2023. Sorry about the wind noise, it was a pretty blustery day and I was using a different wind shield that needs binning!

Absolutely. I've caught a lot of RAF Tornados low level in the Mach Loop over the years. They were always a real treat to see. I loved the RAF Tornado Role Demo as well. A fabulous excuse to hoon about in front of the crowds fully swept! 😂

I have a question? Why do the Germans have to send mini nukes to Moscow, for example, with a German plane? The Americans have the same route from Ramstein if they want! Germany allows itself to be blackmailed like this and they don't check it! This is how the US Army can tell that the Germans dropped the mini nukes! That's smart!

Too much turbulence down low to safely make contact from what I gather. The drogues were flapping about all over the place in the wind over the weekend 😂
