German Carriers: How to Play 

The first question any player might ask is, why are there german carriers beyond Graf Zepplin and Weser? and (possibly a world war 1 era seaplane tender) or paper ships at all? At least Weser was 95% complete and Graf was 97%-ish. Also, I understand that the developer team is based in Russia and that means easier access to naval blueprints and schematics but does the game really need that many overpowered fictitious ships? You literally made a whole ship up just from a naval gun blueprint at least the soviet bias ships you put into the game actually had blueprints. You and Gaijin entertainment are very similar in how you handle your properties. As to why you ignore ANY criticism unless there is a huge backlash is beyond me. As a side note, yes I know it's not easy making high-quality 3d ships for a video game and the dev teams of both companies I mentioned do work hard to create visually stunning creations. My problem lies solely upon the business side of operations.

The new German carriers are all fun to play - great addition. Yet time has to show if AP rockets can sustain T8 to T10 games as even the average Joe will angle in little bit rendering these planes to be very situational. I would like to see better pen angles like on US cruisers to mitigate that. Other than that I think they look great and game play is extremly fun cause more challenging than with other nations cv. Well don WG

they suck donkey balls. rockets can only hit light cruisers that are afk or dont have a rudder, bombs are completely rng and fall outside of the reticle more often than not , torps well easy to use just dont do anything , and you get weak planes with long replenishment , just dont see any reason or point in playing them infact the only thing they achieve is to give teh RN CV's some company at the bottom of the table

Oh Parseval is heaps of fun even with the occasional T10 battle thrown in. Top and even mid tier that thing can be a monster. Richthofen even more so.

I think I prefer parseval than Richthofen, because I can Bomb CV rather than relied on Attack fighter to do the trick

The catapults on GZ were ahead of it's time and even until the 60' the most powerful catapults ever put on a ship.

@@thelvadam2884 If I remember correctly GZ is slow in putting out her planes due to said catapults system and also she has quite few planes for her weight.

@@geckowithapencil1373 Maybe a bit late but from what i've read, those catapults could get planes in the air rather quick but the compressed air was quickly depleted, i think after 1 and a half squadrons and then took a long time to fill up again.

The T10 is BB hull. FdG. With literally 60mm on the nose. Good luck killing this, DDs nor cruisers would be able to citadel it.

SebaX hell I had a game or two with Wesser where the enemy DD chased me about that Hipper hull is no joke it eats damage well, haven’t played a lot of the t8 carrier since I already had Graf Zeppelin but if it is a GZ-esque hull it should be pretty beefy against the dd and cruisers, manfred is just monstrous being effectively immune to DD fire but a massive target having been built on an FDG hull of all things

@@thelvadam2884 Smaller in size yes but i believe in terms of mass due to the sheer armor makes up for the size differnce, plus Richthofen can defend itself with or without planes with its secondaries while Haku/Midway/Audacious cannot, it is a carrier that is as much a surface threat as it is an Aerial threat

Yeah it was fun when you needed to use whole of your torpedo and bomber squadrons to even inflict the equivalent damage of a single HE rocket strike. CV and DD interaction is worser than ever and worser cuz of continuous AA nerds after CV rework update.

I agree! I loved playing three squadrons at the same time. Tactic was everything. It was much more of a duel, since a good enemy player could completely wipe all your planes from the sky with his fighters if he fought right

yeah, remember when there was an actual counter play against cv because you could deplane it, remember when aa and defensive aa actually worked to the point where many ships were no fly zones? remember?

@@kusajko3644 Well said! Even the Zao had decent AA and look at it now. Cruisers are meant to have good AA and give support, now they just farm a single BB without using more than 2 braincells. Imagine what were Mino, Des Moines, Montana, Gearing doing to planes. No fly zones!!!!

lord Redlead 23 it is really not that hard to get damage in CVs, when I first started it wasn’t long till I got used to everything, even players who don’t play their class right will get just good damage, for instance whenever I launch Langley rockets at a dd it doesn’t matter what angle I will still get alright damage (unless RNG just says no) and at that point it doesn’t matter what I do as a surface ship cause now I have to rely on RNG on whether or not I take 20k from hak bombs or not. Also any class can do the most damage it depends if the winds were right

Won't work. The tech tree carriers don't have the 150 mm guns GZ gets. And the accuracy is also worse.

This would actually work because the Manfred Von Richthofen is the hull of an FDG so it is super heavily armoured. I know I will be trying this lol

Only very skilled cv player will nuke minotaur. Its minotaur your talking, the AA is the longest range in the game. Not to mention the dpm it dealt.

Like hell it is, Richthofen is so blatantly OP right now you better get her while you still can, my average damage with her is already 10k above the server average for equal tier CVs which usually hover around 90-92k

Just cuz u struggle with a ship doesn't mean its like that for everyone.... Watch some videos and learn how to use them. They are very strong in the hands of a good CV player.
