Epic punk cover band. Dive into the wormhole

This woudn't be my first choice of a song of theirs to recommend, but they are super rad. Despite not liking most country, their country cover album is fantastic from front to back, and the Divas album mentioned earlier is really good. To build more on the band story: They are sort of a punk rock super group (Fat Mike from NOFX, Joey Cape and Dave Raun from Lagwagon, Spike Lawson from Swingin Utters, and Chris Shiftlett from Foo Fighters/No Use for a Name). I would recommend giving Lagwagon a shot, but maybe you heard of them since you said your father loves NOFX. They play really fast with some metallic guitar riffs and sort of pop punk-ish vocals. I'd recommend the songs Reign or Baggage.

I think the word you were looking for was scratchy. Some interesting information about this band. They only do punk covers. Each album has a different theme of covers so "Are we not men? We are Diva" is covers of famous divas like Paula Abdul, Celine Dion, and Dolly Parton whilst "Love Their Country" is all covers of country songs. This album is all about 60's-80's pop songs. They are under Fat Wreck Chords, a record label owned by Fat Mike, the lead singer of the punk band NOFX. The two bands are buddies and did drugs together. I suggest listening to NOFX. Since they own their own record company, they recently did a self aware parody of their most famous song "Linoleum" by the name of "Linewleum." Lyrics like So I'm doing what no smart band ever would I’m taking our one well known song and trying to make it not very good. Their music video for that was a shout out to all those that covered their song on RU-vid and live by name. They then released the song into free domain. I highly recommend their songs "Seeing Double at the Triple Rock" and "USA-holes."
