A fully restored German Klingsor Gramophone circa 1908 horn built into Cabinet & tuned strings to front of horn on soundboard which were supposed to resonate in tune with the music being played giving a more purer tone , an early sudo scientific approach at sound improvement which gave very little improvement to the performance , record being played "Whose baby are you " by Venetian Dance Orchestra ACO Lable No G-15004

Hi Henk Thanks , not too sure of the tuned piano wire strings over the horn which supposed to resonate in tune with the music giving a purer tone but apart from that nice machines quite unusual

@@fitang1 hahaha ! The strings do notthing by a Klingsor, Tom. They are only for decoration !!!!! Nevertheless they are desaireble machines !!!!!! (sorry for my poor English).

Even though the strings don't do anything, the cabinet is just beautiful. My Grandad played the cymbalom (Hungarian) and I wonder what he would have said about the strings and if he could play them.

Hi I took time to retune the strings high notes to the outer edge low to the centre when tappinfg the strings with a strip of thin wood you can get a good tune out of it so I guess your Grandad would have been able to play one of these like your Cyambalom much the same as the dulcimer
