re Gasket & tune up the No 4 sound box makes for a great tone & louder volume as by now the original rubber gaskets have hardened

I believe this was HMV's last external horn model & possibly the only gramophone with a 'U' bend :-) Bit of a quirky concept, but looks elegant. Congrats on owning this rare & beautiful machine!

This was the last UK HMV external horn model but HMV did manufacture , models 29, 31, 31A 33 & 34 all fitted with the internal conduit , the 31a had the fat tone arm fitted with 5a/5b soundbox these were for export

well worth looking out for , they give exceptional tone & Volume !
