The most enjoying about this is hard to tell. We had awesome percussions, beautiful instruments, strong voices and touching lyrics. They were praying to god to get the needful water and clouds in summer. At the same time the song sounded so happy and had enormous positive vibes. There were a lot of musicians involved in this project and everybody played their part in it. The high notes from the main vocalists got me in especially, not to forget about the percussion quite at the beginning of the song. It's one of my favorites from Coke Studio for sure.

Mizan rahman is a rock metal vocalist . Also he was on a band called WARFAZE , a legendary band producing their music for 50 years. You must cheak out. U'll find some world class musician out there. Now Mizan rahman has his own band. Also he does sufi musics.

The name of this song is "Prarthona" means "Prayer". This song's lyric of prayer is not only for Bangladesh but also for every dry land around the world. The female singer is a parliament member also & the male singer is a rock metal vocalist of Bangladesh. ❤️❤️

1:40 That instrument is called 'Khartal'. It's a traditional instrument from Rajasthan (desert state in India). Arnob brought those Rajasthani artists to blend them in this song that's set in a drought hit summer time. There are few other Rajasthani instruments here: 5:37 9:15

This song was actually sung by farmers in the season of drought. They used pray to God for some rain, so they can cultivate their fields. Before modern irrigation techniques, farming was hugely dependent on natural rain.

This male singer mizan comes 2nd in terms of high pitch voice. Our legen, Michael Jackson of Bangladesh, Hasan from Ark (Legendary band from 94-99) is the number 1 high pitch vocal. It's actually a old Bangladeshi song ..40 or 35 years from now the weather of Ban. used to be like that so a singer/writer.. wrote a song on that condition...and it got the popularity overnight in the country and and some Bengali province in India...actually it is a old song and never mind there is no such kind of condition in Todays Bangladesh....Bangladesh is developing so fast in Asia (Asia's fastest developing nation is Bangladesh)...if we continue this current rate...then we hope that day is not too far when we can also feel proud for our Nation....

We have a few hiphop groups in bangladesh. but Rap/hiphop culture isn't very popular here as of yet. Most Bangladeshi listens and enjoy Alternate Rock. Alternate Rock has been prevalent in our culture for a long time.
