The massage is the most important part of this song. Lalon is a "ism" The artists believe in the massage, so this song become so beautifully peaceful . they 2 are not commercial artist. The fusion of lalon music and kabira das is great. Lalon is asking (In Kaniz) what is religion? What does it looks like? In reply the other reply," the source of water is same but we put it in various kind of pot and label it in difference name. " (In mur-she-da-ba-de) It's a nice dialogue. Wow. In today's world it's so relevant but it's a very old massage of old bangla now Bangladesh. These saints teaches us tolerance. Accept the others. In Another song in VOBER PAGOL" Do not tell mad. Look at your inside you are a mad too.The world can't run without mad. Madness is everywhere." The same vibe is spreader. Great Job Arnob and his team. Respect Coke studio bangla to warp the song with great music. Sorry to say but you are so funny. 🤠🤠🤠. Missed out the subtitle.
Everyone ask Lalon (17th Century poet and philosopher of Bangla region); which caste or religion do you belong to? He ask them back - "how does a caste look? I was born without a caste". Kabir Das (14th Century poet of Uttar Pradesh) the other poet wrote water in different pot is still nothing but water. Key message is universal humanity without any form of man made discrimination.
its a song written by the legend person "lalon". you listen to Nigar sumi X jalali set right? nigar sumi's band name is " Lalon band". and this is the man who've written this thing.Lalon. He tried to deliver that there is no difference in the human of the whole world. Everyone is human and this is the main identification. actually he tried to erase the Regional descrimination between all people. everyones religion shoud be same and which is "Human religion " nothing else. : my English is not perfect.
*You got the gist of the lyrics right, Cojak* *#* _It's a mashup of two songs by two different songwriters from two ends of this subcontinent belonging to two different ethnic & language-communities and of two different era!!! One is Kabir Das, a 15th century mystic humanist poet and saint, born in present day Uttar Pradesh, India, writing in vernacular Hindi. The other is Lalon Fakir, a 19th century Bengali humanist thinker-philosopher mystic poet, songwriter, minstrel - born in present day Jhinaidah district, Bangladesh and writing in vernacular Bengali. Both of these gentlemen have very similar life-background or backstory and also developed a very similar kind of philosophy in many respects. Both of them were highly spiritually -inclined yet against organized religion, especially against the religious bigotry and its exclusivist, chauvinistic, belligerent, discriminatory or divisive aspects. They promoted humanism, reason, love, kindness, compassion, inclusivity and a shared sense of humanity and reality across class, caste, religion, race, ethnicity, nationality, country, gender and all other shapes or forms of divisions. As far as I can understand, although none of them were enthusiastic about organized religions, none of them were stark atheists or materialists either. They were secular humanists, even perhaps agnostic (at least, seems to be, in Lalon's case), yet steeped in a deep sense of very non-dogmatic and syncretic mystic spirituality. A very idiosyncratic combination or fusion!_ *##* By the way, the phrase in English translation in the subtitles of this video: _"Religious identity "_ is a very narrow translation of the original Bengali word in the original Bengali lyrics, _almost_ (not quite though) to the point of being erroneous. The original Bengali word is *"Jaat"* - which has somewhat related yet manifold meanings used in multifarious contexts as necessary. The main meaning refers to *"caste" in the "Caste System" in Hinduism, not to "Religious identity" exclusively or even primarily.* But it does have a lot of other meanings or senses, e.g. social class or status, caste, race, ethnicity, nationality, country, gender, skin color, various classifications or groupings inspired by religion or culture, etc etc. _Lalon Fakir in this song of his actually uses this word ( _*_"Jaat"_*_ ) in its multifarious meanings and senses, not just "religious identity" - as evident in the entirety of the song in Bangla!!_ So, limiting, constraining or diluting the full meaning of the original word to only one - by translating it as _"Religious Identity" only_ is tantamount to a serious mistranslation, I would contend!!!
@@mahabubrahman6093 Yes, he was "born" in the 18th century, but spent most of his life in the 19th century. 17 October, 1774 - 17 October, 1890. 26 years in 18th century, 90 years in 19th century. That's why we call him a 19th century person.
Murshidabadi starts with Alaap, it's like a tune in classical music Next Mitu starts Lalon's song which says that people wears rosaries, or poita or tasbeeh on their neck to symbolize what religion they follow in the world, however that is not there with them when they come to this world or leave this world. "Shob lokey koy Lalon ki Jaat Shongshare e" means, "Everyone asks what religion Lalon follows in this world" But Lalon is disagreeing because to him religion or its form means nothing in his eyes. For Murshidabadi's next turn, he says Kabira says there are too many containers in this world, but the water they can contain are all the same. So the world is big well of water. No matter which container you use to take out water from the well, the water remains unchanged. Hope this helps you even a little.
Thank you so much for reaction this awesome song..This song was written by our another legend. Our new generation of singers and music composers are moving forward. Proud to be a Bangladeshi.❤❤❤❤🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩
Again, Two songs being sung here. The female singer singing a song from Fakir Lalon Shah, a natural song writer and singer from Kushtia, bangladesh, from the 1800. He is a one of a kind philosophical, poetic singer. Here in this song Lalon says people asking him about his religion and he not being sure about difference among the core of religions and asking them to affirm his religion. Followers Lalon will practice his lifestyle and philosophy. The male singer is singing a poem from Kabir Das, a 15th century poet from india. Kabir Das's song is complementin and answering his Lalons question, this is the composers composition though.
Thank god there were no subtitles at the first part... Up to then you focused on the listening the song rather than reading the song...then you started reading the subtitles again🥺😭
The important reason for Lalon Fakir was that at that time there was division among the people of different castes and religions. Lalon Fakir has tried to create empathy and brotherhood among people of all religions. Throughout his life he tried to remove the differences between people on the basis of caste, religion
Brother this song have a very deep meaning even a Bengali people cannot can I get this lyrics ova rol love from ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩 bangladesh
General people ask to the Lalon about his cast, relegation, ethnity. But Lalon says I'm human & nothing more than that & you people also the same. We all came from one pure source. So the much you forget or reduce your difference the more you closer to that divine purity.
in ancient time, musicians included their name in the lyrics, that was the way to copyright a song in Indian subcontinent, that's why you hear Lalon and Kabir's name in their own lyrics.
This song is not about religion,it's Lalon Fakir is asking himself, what is religion, and he is answering himself,I've never seen religion in my life, never experienced it.and I've happily sold it for humanity.
you want the meaning of this fusion?.........meaning is pretty simple....We all are the same as human all over the world yet force our self to diversified from others based on religion which is actually pointless.
Lalon says what form is religion That cannot be viewed with vision People of the world wonder what's Lalon's religion? Muslims are known by circumcision What should be for rule for his woman? Thread is sign of a Brahman How wife of Brahman you'll sanction? One calls it Mala and another Toshbi Is that's the reason for religions to vary? At times of arrival or departure. What signs of religions do you carry? Whole world talks about religion. Everywhere people do discussion. Lalon says, "the stamp of religion; In markets of humanity I auction."
