in italy we eat sometimes raw salsiccia (sausage) like this. salsiccia is substantially raw pork meat with salt and pepper (not always) in a casing (budello)
So weird, to see this obsession about a dutch-german rivalry. I'm from the southwest of Germany and the two countries, that are the only countries that matter here are France and Switzerland. Maybe also Italy, because you're in Italy in like 3 hours. The Netherlands feels like another world to me and are frankly a country I never even think about and that I don't really care or know what's going on there.
@@glockenrein I love France, they are our most important ally and partner. Why do all of you americans hate France? They are your oldest ally and aguably one of your ost important. You both had a revolution in the late 18th century. The french brought us in Germany value of Égalité, Liberté, Fraternité. Our first (lasting) democratic reforms that happened in the 19th century were directly caused by the export of those french revolutionary ideals. Also a bunch of failed revolutions to get tid of moarchy all together, that happened in the 19th century here in Germany. Plus they brought us the metric system (which I guess you guys don't have).

@@glockenrein Sorry, I read mid west and thought, you meant the america mid west. I have ADHS and sometimes when my brain picks up on keywords like that, it jumps to conclusions. Especially when I'm just reading snippets and not long texts.
