Tim Scott really sad to hear mate! 😢 Losing such a loving friend and member of the family is a big loss.. Best thing you can do is to get another one! It's not the same obviously but with little time the next one will become another loving member of the family not replacing the first one but being one of the pack! Take it as a puppy given by the loved one who had to very unfortunately go.

I grew up with shepherds and never felt frightened of their large teeth. They were always good and fun friends.

Good for you that you were not bitten by one, because trust me, if it narrowly misses your eye but also makes it bleed, it's enough to last you a lifetime! I myself am a German Shepherd lover, though I also love other breeds, and I can make out their feelings and thoughts by their behaviour!!! I take an interest in them!

The big guy is a good dog. Notice how he keeps laying his head down to try to nap. He knows the little guy is just messing with him, and he’s annoyed by it, but he’s not hurting the little guy.

I had a German Shepherd when I was 13 and we were inseparable from then until she passed when I was 26. She was the best friend I ever had and she literally saved my life twice. German Shepherds are the best family dogs bar none in my opinion.

I lost my 11 year old Shepherd 2 weeks ago. The day we put her down I cried like a baby. She was with me when I got married and had 3 kids. The kindness, love, and affection she showed our babies when they were born was beyond words. Love ya Scout!!!

Everyone is talking about how frightening the adult dog’s teeth are, but puppy teeth are sharp as nails and do really hurt! Everyone that have had a puppy have experience that, that’s why the adult dog rolls up it’s lips so they don’t get punctured.

@Robert A. Lofgren Jr. Well, if you don't want them biting, you should make it seem like it hurts. If it does actually end up hurting though then I suggest something else since the Puppies for some reason have sharper teeth, just make a little noise and pull your hand or arm away, my puppy learned fast when he thought he hurt me.

Yes, it was annoyed -- but it also had a very clear understanding that the other was "just a pup," and it wasn't appropriate to get into a real fight with it. It's how adults help pups to understand dog etiquette.

There was zero aggression. That's exactly how adult GSDs look an act while playing. And if you've ever seen a GSD ween her pups, you'd see what gentle aggression looks like. This adult clearly wanted to just rest, but was being quite tolerant about the situation

LOL, Malina. You got that right. If this pup wasn't ripped to shreds, the adult was definitely not being aggressive. I always think it's funny when people think this normal interaction is aggressiveness. They have one of the strongest bites in the dog world, stronger even than pit bulls and yet people somehow think that they'd be aggressive without harming the other animal. If the animal they're being "aggressive" towards is unscathed, then they weren't being aggressive. It really is that simple.

His teeth may be big, but I can assure you that those puppy needle teeth are much sharper. My older dogs have never accidentally drawn blood with their teeth, but puppy teeth have scratched me just by contact (not counting when puppies are learning how hard they can play-bite).

If only that were true. Those teeth do not scare or deter the puppies from anything. It's weird, because as a human, if I didn't know any better, I would look at those teeth and be afraid and I think small children would be too. Has zero effect on puppies.

I love this. Big gentle giant with teeth that scare the hell out of me. The pup's so funny, he wants to play but gets outwitted at every turn. Lol.

I lost German shepherd 6 years come the 14th of December he was a lovely dog still miss him, but seeing other people with German shepherd dogs reminds me of the fun times I had with mine

May 12, 2016 Amazing how gentle the larger dog is....He knows the damage that could be done Imagine, if those sharp canine teeth were to wrap around the arm of a man..... But he's a loving dog, and appears to be a joy to have around .
