I respect the unbias here, Ronin wasn't necessarily misbehaving but definitely overly persistent with the shepherd. The male GSD is impressive, wasn't overly aggressive but took action when the other shepherd was uncomfortable, he seems to have great temperament and training. Props to their owner, especially for having her reactive dog on leash. Good job to you as well, you handled the situation well and so did Ronin!
this guy is like, "that friend" who always makes fast friends, likes to push everybody's buttons, and says he was just joking when someone finally snaps. lol
The male GSD has the Tyson stare nailed! Ronin is a smart dog to want to be pals with him as the GSD doesn't look the kind to play around when challenged.
thank you for the work you do, its simple and an effective way to learn the behavior of our loved ones. Now that I am at the park, I correct ppl explaining what it means and ppl are most of the time surprised
Awesome video disecting all the body language clues! Well done! And I don't blame Ronin for coming on a little too heavy to that female GSD, she was really pretty! 😁
@Childfamous, I am on my 6th German Shepherd and i don't know many of these signs the dogs do. I knew of one when the tail is kind of between the legs. I never saw a Belgian Malinois in this video.
Was again telling someone about your channel yesterday and talking about how you'll be honest even when Ronin makes the wrong move. This is an outstanding channel that should be shown in veterinary and training schools.
Beautiful videos, I had no idea how to interpret the social behavior of dogs through those nuances (ears, eyes, licking, sniffing, fur, tail...). Really interesting to learn about this
I noticed there's more pushy and awkward dogs at this park than the ones I'm familiar with. It's way more exciting and nervy watching this. Way more lessons learned.
I’m sure it’s selection bias. The days nothing happens there is no video to be made. Who knows how many trips it takes until an interaction worth being a teachable moment becomes a video.
ronin reminds me of my old dog. ultimately, he enjoyed being with small dogs the most. I got a small dog after he passed and she loves to only be with the big boys. Anyway, i enjoy your videos a lot!
Lot's of work and understanding. I have a dutch, and i don't have the time. Fenced yard, 7ft. I'm glad he hasn't tried, because he can. Protects his place.!! Love my Shepherd's
I love your videos bro your dog is such a sweetheart.when I saw that golden retriever in your video it reminded last month Sunday afternoon walking my GSD he’s two and a half 116 lbs this golden retriever came out of no where charging towards my dog luckily me being a strong guy I was able to hold my dog back which he was ready to retaliate finally me yelling at him loudly moron owner called him back
I had a white German Shepherd, best, most loyal dog I ever had, met. I was lucky. I miss him more than any living thing I've ever associated with. He was safer with my buddy than having a Secret Service detail.
i love your channel its informative to see it happen in slow motion especially since you point it out. I would also love a video to really meet the pups one day too 💜
I've owned german shepherds ( still have 3 gsd ) and Belgian malinois and I did not any malis in this video. None the less I prefer german shepherds over any other breeds, the only con is they don't live long enough.
@Nick-nm8om, I am also a fan of the German Shepherd breed. I am on my 6th one. I would never have a Belgian Malinois over a German Shepherd. I wrote the same thing in a comment above this one. I never saw a Belgian Malinois either in this video.
Thank you for explaining their behavior as it applies to pack behavior. So interesting. I can recognize a few like when they are meeting a new dog and both dogs get stiff with tails and hackles up. Also know a tucked tail is a scared dog.
hello. these videos are incredibly fascinating and i am curious to know if there are any resources that you specifically studied to learn about dog behavior? a book, or perhaps a website? thanks.
From about 3:20 there is a calm little pittie just watching all the noisy fluff balls be peacocks. Nobody points out the good doggo because we all know dog racism exists.
your channel's the best! i'm always so happy when you upload, love your pack so much! ♡ the poor white shepherd had me sad though. she was so pretty, would have loved to see her more happy of course! correct me if i'm mistaken, but it's usually not a good idea to have a leashed dog at a dog park as it makes them feel uncomfortable and trapped, right? is there any benefit to bringing your dog leashed to a dog park?
Maybe cause lady brought male didn't want to leave female behind or maybe to try learn from the male about socializing, ya know, all sorts of reasons like these.
the most stressful thing about this whole dog interaction is the over-analysis by the owner. Take a few hits off the bong before the next visit to the dog park, sweetie.
