German Singles Charts 2000 (All songs) 

Honestly, I'd like that, too; but, as you may not know, Francis Pelletier had asserted that this would be the last video he would have made for the German Charts history.

I had never heard of about 70% of this list. 😄 All of these covers had no staying power at all.

Germany tradionally has many songs from German artists in their charts. Many EDM artists are from Germany and also a lot from other genres. I went through the 100 most selling songs for a few years of the 1990s and early 00s and between 30-40 % of the biggest hits were from German based projects. But only relatively few of these songs charted in other countries.

I know how that feels; some of the songs *I* like turned out to be very low in this chart too. Mario Lopez - Into My Brain is one example, even though it has a spiritual ring in its song.

Ja vor allem die ganzen Big Brother- und Casting Show-Kandidaten. 🙄

Echt so. Hab damals mit 7 Jahren erstmals Musik so richtig wahrgenommen und mit den "Bravo Hits 29" sowie "Hits 2000" meine ersten CDs geschenkt bekommen, aber gut die Hälfte der ganzen Songs in dem Video sind an mir vorbeigegangen. ^^ Ebenso wie heute waren viele Cover, auch wenn ich Trance gerne höre, von Klassikern einfach schlecht.

Meine Sichtweise beweist, wie subjektiv jede Sichtweise ist. Ich baue mir in Kürze eine Playlist dieses Videos zusammen und habe mir gerade unzählige Songs notiert. Klar hab ich auch locker die Hälfte aussortiert. Für mich, der Ende der 90er mit dem exzessiven Musikhören angefangen hat, ist das Jahr 1999 und wohl auch 2000 ein absolutes Highlight. Ich würde das Wort "belanglos und schwach" aber für die Charts von 1990-1993 oder ab 2010 bis heute verwenden, da wird's für mich persönlich dann gruselig. Bis 2002/3 sollte mir sehr viel der Charts gefallen. Danach flachte mein Interesse tatsächlich ab. Und ich rede aus heutiger Sicht, damals gefiel mir sogar noch etwas mehr. Klar sind Charts auch eigentlich Unsinn, es kommt natürlich drauf an, ob man solcher Musik überhaupt etwas abgewinnen kann. Wer Metal mag oder Bandmusik oder coolen Rap, der wird vielleicht mit EDM und chartlastigem Pop usw. nicht viel bzw. gar nichts anfangen können. Ich kann jetzt schon sagen, dass das Jahr 2000 ein Kracherjahr war. Darude's ersten beiden Singles, Alice Deejay, selbst die Scooter Ballade "She's the Sun" ist richtig gut. *NSYNC liefert einen Kracher. Modjo's Lady, ATB's The Fields of Love und A*Teens Upside Down. Robbie Williams' Supreme, a-hat hat klasse Singles rausgehauen, Fanta 4 und Tag am Meer, Fatboy Slim - Bird of Prey usw. usf. Britney Spears's Oops und Stronger, Eminem's Stan, toll.
