This is one of the better videos I have seen about Helen y'all are so cute! Thank you! You do not need make up girl! Y'all dress up nice but natural looks great! I'm jealous. I like how they have those plastic awning things on the porches for when it's too cold...they have those at the beach restaurants too...great idea!

If you have the America the Beautiful pass from the National Park Service, you (and 4 adults in the same vehicle) can get into Anna Ruby Falls for free. Same for Brasstown Bald and Dukes Creek Falls. If you are current military, Veteran or Gold Star Family you can get the pass for free.

I’m going tubing Saturday

I have a cabin near Helen and know the area well. 15 years ago it was a great place for adults to relax and enjoy the area and it was a little like a Bavarian town. You could find authentic German clocks, Tapestries, beer steins, etc. in the shops and the streets were not crowded. If you were a little tipsy, the police would take you back to your hotel but now they take you to their jail and DUI checkpoints are everywhere. The town has turned into a mass of rundown cheap T-shirt and trinket shops, overpriced poor quality food and families with wayward children. On the weekends, the road (only one main road) is bumper to bumper and the sidewalks are packed. Keep valuables close by because Helen is the #1 city for crime in Georgia. For those of us that knew what it once was, it is a shame to see what it has become. The Mrytle Beach of the mountains. The area is great, rent a cabin but avoid Helen unless it is early on a week day.
