Hitler came to power on the democratic path but left this track soon after being in power. Therefore nazi reactivation is illegal in Germany and Austria. Or do you want a WW3 triggered by the old nazis? Although I assume that the new nazis are sitting in the Kremlin. There are the most dangerous nationalists but they lack socialism.

How do you define "far right"? A lot of the AfD's positions have been those of other parties before or will be those of other parties later. For example, AfD is against sending weapons to Ukraine. Less than two years ago, it was the position of every party from the center to the left never to send weapons into conflict zones.

The party is not the problem and banning it is not the solution. The problem is the mindset of the people. The question that should be asked is "Why do so many people vote for them?", not "Should we ban it?". If people stopped supporting the AfD and stopped voting for them, they would cease to exist or on a level that is insignificant, and no ban would be required. But banning a party that is so popular would have the opposite effect of what is wanted, it would make people support them even more. Banning the AfD would be like cutting the shoots of weeds whilst leaving the root in the ground, it'll just grow back (likely as a differently named party with the same leaders and similar objectives). What needs to be done is to take the weed with the root - and that is to find out what causes people to support them and vote for them and address these issues.

History have shown us that political parties rise and fall as time passes by. There is good and bad when either the left or the right leads. With the ongoing Global crisis it results in a mass exodus of refugees asylum seekers migrant workers illegals etc presenting a challenge to all Govts.
