Gaijin has added another funky German prototype tank to War Thunder with the Zerstorer 45. It is somewhat similar to the Kugelblitz, being based on the Panzer 4, but has no armor and four 30mm cannons instead of two. It's great at shredding both CAS and tanks, so it was a lot of fun for me.

Attempt number 26(?) at getting Spookston to play any tank with a dozer blade, the catch is that he has to dig in before engaging targets. Movement around the map is allowed, but he has to dig in again before reengaging.

To comment on the squeaking at 1:44. "the squeaking noise comes from the long-barreled Panzer IV's tendency to overload it's front end while steering. I've also noticed this exact thing in IL-2 Tank Crew. The Finnish even noted that the Panzer IV Js they got tended to make their brake drums glow hot red in summer on road marches just from this strain alone" Credit to @yashkasheriff9325 who orgininally commented that on the Panzer 4 G video

The new severe damage system isn't as counterintuitive as you think, because instead of giving you target destroyed every time you break a wing or damage the engine while they probably still have some degrees of control, severe damage tells you that they're badly injured and cannot function fully It also prevents a lot of kill stealing

It's simple: Whatever Gaijin says or does, it bears no meaning 2-3 years later. Not gonna add XYZ? Gets added 3 years later anyway. Make some changes to a vehicle? Add another years later that doesn't follow the rules. My favourite: They make T-34 driver hatch a weakspot, then 4 years later they change it back based on some bug report. They have honestly no clue what is going on in with their own game.

Cromwells and Comets are underrated gems. They're medium tanks that play a lot like light tanks because they're fast, have decent armor pen, and practically no armor. I do wish they properly fixed the Comet's APDS because historically, it's powerful enough to punch through the UFP of a Panther.

if gaijoob programmed it properly itd be fine. (and if they added some of the other cool american AA platforms that exist.... i mean hell you go from 2 50s to a cannon and 2 50s to 4 50s, gaijin doesnt know how to AA... and russia is just OP in general because russian company the guns fire as a duplex auto system, the first gun firing leads into the second gun firing in a 12 12 12 12 cadence... but gayjoob somehow has the guns reload separately as well as fire separately, leading to its guns getting desynced and just not working properly.

Also Gaijin giving it full APCR belt, yet they nerfed the Kugelblitz back in the day. What kind of logic do they follow? None. Same story with Japanese SPAA getting 20mm APDS while you have to unlock a slightly more armored Marder again, just to have APDS instead of APCR.

Dude you don't even need scouting to get this kind of bullshit done. A single assist is often enough to spawn in a plane with bombs, especially in uptiers. You don't need to use a light tank or have scouting. You could do it in a heavy tank. As it is right now, planes are beyond easy to spawn in.

They should make ground tanks only (other than the nuke), then make a combined arms game, where all three types of vehicles can play. Like there could be an air battle with planes trying to destroy bases and provide ground support for tanks, naval tries to also provide ground support and eliminate the enemy ships, and tanks going around doing their thing. There’d have to be maps made for this but I think it would be awesome.

Critical hits are bugged for planes. Like your game tells you when you made a critical hit, but the daily battle pass task does not count it as now became severe damaged thing. This way you sometimes need around 30+ shot down planes to get 14 Crits counted for planes. The old system, while not perfect, was in this regard better.

I’m kinda in the same boat. Maybe they should implement a weird over complicated scaling system - those who play more and generally perform better have the requirement increased, whereas those who struggle have it stay as is
