I am f***** impressed how Deutschland plays basketball. Disciplined, clean and proffesional play. Using every single momment into their own advantage, never miss a single chance to take over control. Exploiting every single mistake. Beautiful.

But you shouldn't reduce it to just protecting 3 points. This mistake has been made by many teams, especially the U.S.

@@Stefanoss165 I just add he is a Bayern player. Obst is more than a Shooter as you can see. Euroleague is not NBA where a good player and shooter lead your team singlehandely to the top 8 in euroleague

@@Stefanoss165 i mean he is a role player who is not asked to create their own shot... he could play that role on any team and would be super useful. In a starting line up with NBA players (team Germany) he is not a weak link. as a role player he just doesn t single-handedly make you a very good team.

That's the way they can dominate sports. For example, in the German national football team 2014. There wasn't the one and only brilliant player, like Messi in Argentina, Mbappe in France, Ronaldo in Portugal. They played as a "team" and weren't depended on a single player.

two oft the most important plays are missing, Bongas monsterblock against bridges and the dagger midrange jumper from dennis after sending reaves back to the usa

ALL German guys played to their max ability and even a bit beyond… but i especially appreciate the performances of Bonga, Theis, Voigtmann and also Thiemann. Dirk‘s proud!

Thiemann has that dog in him. He hustles so much and is mostly an invisible player due to stats and stuff but he does so much to help his team. Still Thiemann, Theis and Bonga are a defensive wall.

Indeed, Latvia has a very strong team, they showed it with a tremendous number of victories in qualification and this championship. Could have been, under different circumstances, semi final or something.

I have mad respect for Latvia. Such a small country by population, and they manage to give as good as they got against the World Champions. That last shot was sooo close to sealing the deal and for Germany to go 5-1 and out. Then again, I have always had a soft spot for them since my one and only visit to Riga. Paldies no Vācijas! (One of these days somebody will have to tell me where they got THAT name for our country...)
