I don´t understand why a lot of poles are raging over the fact that swedes thank german firefighters for their help in the comment section of a video of german firefighters in sweden. They don´t deny that poles helped too. Its just a german video and not a polish one. Its about helping others in need. Thats exactly what the fire department is about. Its not a competition, so get over it. If our politicians don´t stand with each other, let us be connected through our passion. Firefighting. It doesn`t matter where you are from, we are a big family and should behave like one!

When I read some of the comments here, it's really sad. It doesn't matter who sent how many fire engines and who was there first. The point here is that a country needed help and it was sent. Aid came from Poland, Germany, Denmark, Norway, France, Italy and Portugal. All of these fought the fire "together". This is not a competition and it should never be. W takich sytuacjach ekstremalnych zawsze powinnien być powoływany korpus NATO. wojsko dysponuje samolotami i wozami, które mogą wykonać szerokie przecinki.

Teraz, w 2019 roku, w dalekiej Syberii, też szaleją pożary. Rosjanie nie gaszą, bo nie mają maszyn. A gdy ogień ruszył w stronę Chin, to Chińczycy wysłali swoje drużyny strażackie. Potem rosyjska telewizja pokazała chińskich strażaków i powiedziała że to rosyjscy strażacy bardzo umiejętnie walczą z ogniem. I to było na wszystkich rosyjskich kanałach - chińskich strażaków pokazywano jako rosyjskich.
Tak... bo dałeś sobie wcisnąć do głowy zmanipulowane wyobrażenie, że Polaków to na każdym zakręcie pozdrawiali i witali. U nas za bardzo tym spamują, bo wiedzą, że wiele osób w to kliknie. ;) Naprawdę myślisz, że tak było (jak sobie wyobrażasz) zawsze i wszędzie, zarówno w stosunku do Polaków, jak i Niemców? Zastanów się, przecież Szwedzi doceniają sam gest i liczą na każdą pomoc, nie ważne skąd przyjechała.
Przecież mają porządny sprzęt tak samo jak i Nasz. Tylko że jest ich sporo mniej. Czyżby uprzedzenie do sąsiadów? :) bo ja nie widzę gorszego sprzętu, sam nowy sprzęt tylko w mniejszej obsadzie. Liczy się każda pomoc i nie ilość a jakość. Bo może być 100 a będzie tylko połowa działać a może być 50 i 50 będzie działać na maxa :)
+Adrian Jasne, szczególnie samolotami na festyn. Za to my wysłaliśmy trochę sprzętu, a niektórzy zachowują się, jakby nie wiadomo co to było. Ja rozumiem kompleksy, ale nie chcielibyście czytać komentarzy z przytykami, że Polska nawet 1 powietrznej jednostki nie wysłała. Cieszycie się, że ktoś okazuje nam wdzięczność za pomoc, to także o innych piszcie z takim szacunkiem, z jakim sami chcielibyście być oceniani. Pozdrawiam Ps. Zresztą na sprzęty to się może nie licytujmy, bo i z samolotami u nas słabo i takich (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-04irr9ZyG_I.html) straży to nigdy nie widziałem, a widywałem naprawdę spore.
I'm a volunteer firefighter in America, and I'm curious. I understand that many European nations have different modules for different firefighting tasks that they put on a common chassis. Are these engines using a module for wild land fire, or are they all configured for structure firefighting? We have thousands and thousands of specially designed wildland fire engines in America. Do European nations use something comparable? Good job by all firefighters involved. It's beautiful to see nations come together to protect what's important. A firefighter is a firefighter, no matter where they're from. Stay safe and keep up the good work, German and Swedish firefighters, from your brothers and sisters in America. First of all: I can only speak for germany. In germany we only have a few brushfire trucks. other countries that have more bigger brush fires have specialized equipment. A lot of our firetrucks have the ability to fight brush fires, but they are often not really offroad capable. A burning field is not a problem for us. If a forrest is burning, it gets trickier. I'm American and I got the chance to work with some Canadian and Australian firefighters this fire season. It was awesome. I'd love to fight fire in Europe some time, as unlikely as it seems.
Although German emergency crews already helped out their American colleagues after hurricane Katrina, it's rather unlikely that countries in western Europe require and/or request support from northern America. When there are large scenrios many countries can handle them on their own, and if they require support from abroad, it's usually up to other European countries to send mutual aid convoys. During the century floods we had in the past decades in Germany the Germans handeled it all on their own. Just imagine: although Germany is a lot smaller than the USA, in Germany they have the same number of fire-fighters and additionally federal disaster relief department which is scattered throughout the entire country
Crazy to see the difference between those and north american fire trucks those have almost no lights and in north america they are lit up like a christmas tree
People don't care anyway - no matter if you have 30 lights or 6, so smaller vehicles are more practical to get through somewhere, despite the people's ignorance
