Every morning at about 7am the Leeuhof pick-up train would leave Germiston yard and head down through Elsburg towards Vereeniging and into Leeuhof yard. The train would if required shunt at stations along the way but the main purpose of this train was to exchange the locomotives that were based at the sub-depot Leeuhof in Vereeniging. The engines would stay at Leeuhof for about 3 weeks each and then return to Germiston depot for boiler washout and repairs etc. Most of the time the locos returned to Germiston light engine. Again the quality is not very good but one can see what was going on and certainly hear the beat of the engines.
