@@bullveigh2526Cuz there’s also a pitcher named Will Smith who was on the Braves, Astros and Rangers. In addition to the Dodgers’ catcher named Will Smith.
I’ve been a huge critic of Roberts these past few years, but WOW, he handled this team perfectly, didn’t rely on analytics alone, but pure instincts and knowing the team, perfect example in game 5 with Treinen
Dodgers won in so many different types of ways this postseason - blowouts, nail biters, comebacks, and the list goes on. They simply were the best. Yankees never stood a chance but at least fought back where they could!
@@janetd5121 he had no chance because he's fundamentally not a sound fielding pitcher. They practice fundamentals ALL the time, but if it's not embedded in your muscle memory and you have to THINK to cover 1st? you're toast.(Especially with mookie running the bases) As a pitcher, covering first on a ball hit to your left is a 'little league level' fundamental. The reason for repetition in baseball drills is to make it a reflexive behavior rather than a reactive one. He obviously hasn't mastered that, which is embarrassing for a pitcher at this level. Rizzo was concentrating on fielding the ball, knowing that all he then had to do was underhand it to Cole, who Rizzo rightly assumed would be there... given it's a FUNDAMENTAL play... It's amental error on Cole... interestingly, that would have been the 3rd out and the score was still 5-0. Neither of the other errors would have mattered at that point.
In terms of Walker beuhler I believe that he loves the dodgers with a passion and he’s probably been down on himself for his past few years, I think this postseason was his way of saying I don’t want to go anywhere I want to stay here and in a way it’s kind of poetry
Almost half of the mets payroll were playing for other teams, it’s inflated by bad decisions so i wouldn’t put them in the same conversation as the dodgers and yankees
I wouldn't blame him at all. Dude was hard carrying the team on his back all until that judge blunder in center field. Even after the fifth inning atrocity, he still pitched another solid inning. But i would be genuinely fuming after that game if i was him ngl.
Errors happen, mental errors and a lack of hustle cant happen. that could've been his legacy game, getting out of that inning with 0 runs but instead he stopped running to first. If u dont give everything you have to make sure that third out is made, especially after what happened that inning, you just dont deserve to win a world series.
Soto is being diplomatic in his responses, as it's expected that all media is going to start addressing his free agency. That response from him isn't surprising as much as it is expected. it doesn't indicate anything that wasn't known already, could he stay on the yankees, absolutely, but also keeping a diplomatic answer doesn't burn any bridges with potential teams.
I’ve always wondered how people will say that the 2020 World Series doesn’t count, but Freddie freeman’s 2020 MVP counts. If the World Series "doesn’t count" because of the shortened season, then neither should the awards
Hopefully Yankee fans, and I’m not one, will not let the Judge error define his career. And why the hell is Soto talking about his free agency after losing a brutal game. Terrible timing.
man i never comment on videos but i watch most of these videos (mainly when my team wins haha) and i absolutely love them! keep it up fuzzy can't wait for the offseason recaps!
U fuzzy made me regret not playing baseball as kid😂 but at the end of the day you made me a lifelong baseball nd sports fan. Ready for next year go braves🖤
Thanks for all you do Fuzzy. I found your channel late in the season and even though you are a Cleveland fan, I enjoyed your takes on the Tigers surge into the playoffs.(I was born at University Hospital.while my father attended Cleveland institution of arts) I'll keep following and you keep up the great content.
Everyone who talks crap about the Dodgers winning in 2020 and saying it doesn’t count because of how few games they played…. every team played the same amount of games! It’s not like the Dodgers played fewer games. So stupid.
What the Dodgers went through this season with all the injuries everyone saying the Dodgers pitching staff was below everyone else we played Padres series supposedly less pitching than them won that series Mets had the advantage on us in pitching supposedly then the Yankees had better pitching what happened critics … Dodgers pitching Says it all in 24’ … 💯🔥
People can say whatever the hell they want about Ohtani in this World Series, but just remember … Game 1: Bottom of the 8th inning, they're down by 1… he blasts one off the wall on a rope for a double, then makes a heads-up base running play, advancing to third as the 2nd baseman mishandles the throw in. Ohtani ends up scoring on a Betts sacrifice fly. If that doesn’t happen, there’s no extra innings, and no Freddie walk-off heroics. I love baseball.
Fuzzy. Thank you so much for great reporting. With so many teams in Major League baseball now it's hard to keep up with everything and I rekindled my love for the game. Thank you. Are you going to be reporting throughout the off-season? 🙏⚾
If anyone should be fired from the Yankees, it should be Aaron Judge. He made a rookie mistake, literally took his eyes off the ball, and screwed up that out. He had two great plays last night-that two-run homer and jumping to catch that ball that landed him against the wall-and he cost NY another potential win. And then there’s his performance in the rest of the series. If I was rooting for the Yankees, I’d blame him for the Dodgers celebrating in New York and I wouldn’t want him wearing the jersey again.
FAs: Resign Teoscar and Buehler. Even if Buehler isn’t needed as a starter due to injured starters returning, maybe he’d be willing to be a high leverage reliever ala John Smoltz. Would also like to see Treinen back. Rotation next year to me seems like it should be Ohtani, May, Glasnow, Yamamoto, aaaannnndddd idk. If Kershaw is available it’s kinda like how do you not give him a shot even if he’s not what he used to be, but there’s gonna be lots of depth/competition if everyone is healthy. Overall should be a great team. If they add Soto that would just be an unstoppable freight train, but they will be great with or without him.
@FuzzyFromYT yes game 1 was his fault but I feel like if judge would have caught that ball. I believe the yankees would have won the game because Cole, there are way more pitches that ending and his defense was not helping him. That's not on boone
@@prodigythic cuz Boone is to blame! Can't manage a pitching staff, doesn't motivate the team, gets himself ejected 6 times a year, can't deal with the media, and shouldn't be here in the first place
Not a Yankees fan but any team would rather spread $50 million to a bunch of decent players instead of just one. I was surprised that Ohtani's contract was so heavily deferred but maybe that's going to be a trend and could level the playing field for smaller market teams. It was very smart of the Dodgers and I recall the Blue Jays also offering him a similar deal. The players have to accept that but I think it's in their best interest as well for the sake of the team. Even the Yankees have to think twice to pay a guy that much money for a season when they already are paying lots to other players.
As for the question about would I rather my team pick up Soto for half a billy or spread that money to a few players to bolster the lineup more, and I'd definitely choose B since I think Soto is the kind of player you only pick up once your team is good everywhere else. Throwing a huge amount of money at a superstar when the rest of the team sucks will just stunt the growth of a team. Yanks were a good candidate for Soto, but a team like the Cardinals, for example, might not be.
