Gerry has a beautiful voice and has written, sung on and played guitar on some great songs. He first came to prominence in a band he formed called Stealers Wheel. They had a big hit in 73 with "Stuck In the Middle With You". Then he went solo and had numerous solo hits such as "Baker Street" and "Night Owl". I particularly like: "Get it Right Next Time." You two are are a joy!

I've watched dozens of their videos now and It lifts your spirits so,so much listening to their warm, authentic, genuine reactions. Their insights make you look at songs you thought you knew so well in different lights. Gerry's voice is so mellow and you feel the lyrics are heartfelt and really personal for him . And, once again,I get so much joy watching their responses to songs. And André!!! You're a lovely fellow. And I absolutely adore your wife. Gerry Rafferty is in my top 10 musical artists of all time. Under-appreciated when he released his music and when he sadly passed. Wonderful that his music is being discovered on channels such as yours. Lovely reaction 🙏🏼

In 1969, Rafferty became the third member of a folk-pop group, the Humblebums, along with comedian Billy Connolly and Tam Harvey. Harvey left shortly afterwards, and Rafferty and Connolly continued as a duo, recording two more albums for Transatlantic Records.

The late great Gerry Rafferty. My go to artist most days. They say if youre happy, you understand the music but if youre sad, you understand the lyrics. Gerry put many of his life experiences into his song lyrics. An absolete genius. If you want another, try Dont Speak of my Heart by Gerry. Such a smooth beautiful voice. Enjoy..!

Great song! In 1972 Gerry Rafferty was in the Scottish folk rock band Stealers Wheel & they had a couple of big hits with "Stuck In The Middle With You" & "Star". Later on, he went out on his own & then had the big hits "Baker's Street", "Right Down The Line" & "Night Owl". Sadly he passed away in 2011.

Gerry Rafferty was being apologetic because he was quite a bit of a lout, and a heavy drinker. When he says about “darkest hours” he wasn’t just rhyming words, he and his wife had their struggles.

Man does this bring back memories. Much simpler times with great music everywhere. God only knows how many couples connected and stay connected with this song. Rafferty had one of those voices that just soothed the soul. Poor guy fought a war with his demons and lost. Fortunately his music will be with us along long time. Rest In Peace Gerry Rafferty
