@@Gamebuilder2000 There was one episode where Patrick wouldn't share this Krabby patty toy that Mr Krabs gave to him and SpongeBob to play with together and it ends with Patrick stealing SpongeBob's money to pay for a new one after he eats it so SpongeBob can't play with it. There's also this episode I saw years ago where Sandy does an experiment that involves SpongeBob and Patrick eating some ice cream but Patrick again doesn't want to share and at one point he uses his foot to smear it all over the floor just so SpongeBob can't eat any of it. There's also that episode where SpongeBob had to get an abrasive side just so he can finally start standing up for himself. That's how bad it's gotten. These writers REALIZE that SpongeBob is a doormat now and made a whole plot that revolves around that one fact. And these are just the ones that I can remember. Every episode now just has SpongeBob acting fruity and getting walked on all over by people. It's so annoying. Meanwhile in this old episode, you got SpongeBob choking a mf out just for being hard headed. Lmfao

@@zombifiedpariah7392 SpongeBob was LITERALLY a Doormat in this episode for THREE (and more) months constantly being told by Gary that he's being taken advantage of before he actually snaps. Literally it's all about context. literally the episode Walking the Plankton one of the earliest Episodes was all about SpongeBob not being very assertive, this is not a new thing people just like to think it is because episodes like this are iconic (but they like, all are) this isn't really that different from Abrasive Side

@@Gamebuilder2000 The entire ordeal was caused by stupidity on both Mr. Krabs and Squidward’s part, and Sponge is suffering for it, just as Squidward does when him and Patrick mess things up. He’s getting a taste of his own medicine
