I’m an international student in my final semester of a business program at a university in BC and I’m interested in pursuing a part-time certification (Health Care Assistant Program) while finishing my last two courses at the current university. My study permit expires in March 2025, and I’m wondering-would pursuing this certification during that time period be allowed under my current study permit? I’ve heard mixed things about doing additional programs alongside main studies. Your insight would mean a lot. Thanks so much for your help!

Without proof of employment there is no way to prove it. A family member care giving through a company would not look legit.

you cannot be a caregiver to your own child, its called parenting. It will not make you eligible as you will be the employer and employee.

Hi, to be eligible for this program, all you need is some relevant experience, they haven’t mentioned how much yet. Other than that, job offer in most likely the NOC I mentioned would make you eligible, I hope it helps!

In terms of fees, You will need application fees for processing work permit and perhaps PR, which depends on family size , ideally would be less than $2k for individuals. Remember to only apply once you get a job
